there is going to be alot of thanks going around, and i want to put mine in. i would like to thank all the folks who attended. you all made my week. and i mean that from the bottom of my heart. you are such a great bunch. it was worth all the work just to see people have a great time. i also want to thank the great committee i put together. cindy, buddy, dooder1, colesgrampa, danob11, tom, gunboat, my good buddy's roadkill, and wrongway, and rosebud. brad, i want to thank you for the usual going out of your way help with your suggestions, and the drawing for the prizes. i want to thank don for trusting me to pull this thing off, even if he did call me trailer boy this morning, (he's the only one that can get away with that). :rotf:i would also like to thank patti from diamond r for all the neat things she came up with and taking the time to bring her products here. she is a real sweety, and cliff spears for being here with his products, and my buddy danob11's wife for displaying the neat jewelry she makes. i also want to put a plug in for randall and cindy who own the hub. they really busted their butts to make us feel at home and i can't thank them enough for the great job they did. we will be back. i want too thank gil fisher for getting the belt buckles for the st. jude raffle (we have a total of $431.00), which don is going to turn over to dragonrider for our run sept. 12. put that on your calender. finally there is one person that deserves special recognition. cindy, through thick and thin, took the planning for this meet head on and ran away with it. she made me feel like i did'nt do anything, in fact the rest of the committee made me feel that way. i just want to give her special thanks for taking on all the tasks she did and keeping me from looking stupid. if any one needs some names for a meet committee, get with me i have the cream of the crop. :clap2::clap2: snarley bill

well the rally is a liittle over a week away, and i think we got all are apples in one basket. lots of folks coming, lots of plans for a good time, lots of good food, good rides, vendors, great place and hosts at the hub where we are having it. alot of folks are coming that haven't registered, and that is okay. we got you covered. i sure was lucky to have the folks that i picked for my committee. i lucked out and got some keepers. cindy has gone out of her way, and worked very hard on this meet. she makes me feel like i did'nt do anything. thats why i picked her. i want to thank all the folks on the committee and the ones that had to leave because other commitments arose, the moderators , who gave great input. and don for keeping us all out of trouble. by the way don was the one who came up with the design for the awesome t-shirts and patches. rose bud donated the use of the machine to make the name buttons. see you all there and i hope we put a good one together for you. we did our absolute best. see you all at the hub. snarley bill

now that the new year is here our committee will be getting back to work on the 09 rally in arkansas. we had a question arise about kids being welcome to attend. we are planning on having kids there and have set up childrens meals and pricing for them. what i need is a volunteer to join our committee that would like to put together daily activities for the kids. not having any kids myself i'm not real up on what they would be interested in. we want the kids to have an enjoyable time and not get bored hanging with us old folks. so if some one would like to volunteer pm me. we really need help on this. bill

For those of you who don't know, we are having a meeting Wednesday Sept. 19, 2007 at 7:30p.m. to discuss and organize for the 2008 VentureRider Rally being held in Kitchener. There is much to do and the clock is ticking. First of all, can those that are coming please let me know here. Our original plan was to meet at the Horton's on Hwy 8 at Sportsworld Drive. That location isn't really conducive to holding a meeting with much more then a handful of people and I assume we will have more then that. Once I know how many people are coming, I may move the meeting to somewhere nearby that can offer us more space. Secondly, I would suggest we need to form a committee to organize this event. We should establish that committee ASAP, I suggest the majority of it's members come Ontario, and then after that is established, seek a few other members (perhaps with similar experience) from the club who can/want to assist. If there are any Ontario members that cannot attend Wednesday's meeting and are seriously interested in sitting on this committee, either let me know here or send me a PM or email.
