A friend sent me this link to these vids that are strung together over a few days while clearing out an auto and bike collector estate. It is the most amazing collection of old bikes ive ever seen, and they started some that hadnt run for 70 years or more! http://www.coolestone.com/media/3728/America039;s-Ultimate-Barn-Find/ Enjoy! Ok all you old timers can you name this bike? It is quite possible that I was just offered one of these for $35.00 It was running when the guy bought it but there was a part missing from the carb. He doesn't have the time or inclination to mess with it. To be honest I only saw it once and I remembered what he called it so I was able to find this pic. It was funny how it came about. Let's say he collects things. Some would say he is a pack rat. He has 6 shipping containers and a 40 x 60 metal building stacked and packed with stuff he has "Collected" I commented on his collection and he said name it and I bet I have it. I said "Moped" and he said yep right there and sure enough 10 feet inside the door we were by stood a bike like this one. I was talking to him today and out of the blue he offered it to me for what he paid for it. I said how much and he said $35 bucks. Any guesses?

I cried after we hung up, not sure why but it released a lot of stress. You helped more than u know and in the end it has made me feel better about our decision as to what to do. I really think i can be at peace about it now. maybe ill send u a pretty thong to add to your collection to show my appreciation...

Hi there, New guy here. I am looking for an 86-89 venture and have talked to one fellow about his. He said he removed the catalytic convertor. Would he be talking about the collection box do you think? Will the bike run OK without the collection box or does it need some sort of one? Looking back through older posts someone was making these....and you could still buy them from Yamaha dealers correct? Or am I out to lunch and there is a catalytic convertor? Thanks.
