Dang! I hate going to the dealer. Took my rear wheel to the dealer to mount a new tire. Went to put the wheel on today only to find out the hub is missing the bearing collar. Dang! I hate going to the dealer. Also noticed a bunch of new weights, 8 of them on the rim to balance the new tire. Hummm... don't suppose they tried to balance the tire without the bearing collar do you? Dang! I hate going to the dealer. The collar is only like $9.00 but I have a 4 day ride planned and I doubt I can get one in time for the ride. Of course the dealer is closed Monday, don't suppose they are smart enough to find it on the floor and say ooops we forgot someones bearing collar. Dang! I hate going to the dealer. Or do they just trash all the "missing parts" left on the shop floor. Dang! I hate going to the dealer, you just can't trust them to do anything right. The reason I brought just the wheel was so I could grease my own splines and NOT strip out my mufflers nor saddlebag bolts like they did the last time. Dang! I hate going to the dealer.

A little boy got on the bus, sat next to a man reading a book, and noticed he had his collar on backwards. The little boy asked why he wore his collar backwards. The man, who was a priest, said, 'I am a Father..' The little boy replied, 'My Daddy doesn't wear his collar like that.' The priest looked up from his book and answered, ''I am the Father of many.' The boy said, ''My Dad has 4 boys, 4 girls and two grandchildren and he doesn't wear his collar that way!' The priest, getting impatient, said. 'I am the Father of hundreds', and went back to reading his book. The little boy sat quietly thinking for a while, then leaned over and said, "Maybe you should wear a condom, and put your pants on backwards instead of your collar."

From what i read so far I have went to the website to purchase the leveling links but now I think these may be for teh 02 and up ventures. I have tried turning the locknut and collar on the mono shock under the bike and I m trying to find the sweet riding spoty. it seems like the collar only moves a 1/4 of an inch or so forward or backwards. That doesnt seem like it would do much difference in comfort. the bike also seems hard to egt into deep turns. i have scraped a time or two but not consistant. Am i just sitting too low and too heavy. Im close to 400lb solo.

This is one of the best emails I have gotten in a while! An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of. He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; He then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the Hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour. This continued off and on for several weeks. Curious I pinned a note to his collar: 'I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is And ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.' The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar: 'He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 - he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?

About two days a week I work in the office (engineering) so that makes me a white collar worker. Two days a week in the field service makes me a blue collar worker. Tomorrow I got a meeting about a wind generator project so I should wear green. A few of my clients are all women but I'm not wearing pink. Ramona just brought home some homeade blackberry wine and now I don't have a shirt on at all.:rotfl:

I just got a call from Orrin, and he is in the hospital. Fri. night out riding his 05 RSTD with a friend and had to do a fast stop, and it all went bad. He said that his helmet has a big gouge and he's sure that it saved him. He's got a broken collar bone and 3 broken ribs, along with some road rash. He hasn't seen the bike yet. He should be home in a day or two. Steve

Hey folks, I'm going up to Wichita, Kansas on October 16th to pick up my "new" 07 RSV from a friend there. Probably gonna take a quick run up to KC to see a friend there, then head back to North Texas. Sure love to see anyone who would like to meet up along the way or maybe do a bit of riding together. My broken collar bone seems to be healing OK, and I'm really looking forward to getting back on the road! Goose

I took the rear wheel off to check the placement of the caliper bracket, the washer looked to be in the wrong place. The collar was missing, I sure could use one if any one has one they could part with it. Some one put a new tire on looks to have put no collar, caliper bracket, washer then forced the swing arm over to keep the wheel in place. I would like to know the order of the parts to put them back. Collar,Bracket,Washer.
