  1. Someone actually spent a lot of time to figure out (and chart/map) what common slang term for carbonated beverages is used, by locale, in the US. What do you call them in your area? (There is no chart/map for the Canada.) I know there are many Canadians on this site; What terms do you guys use? What other names can you think of? Pop, Soda, Suds, (I think suds is slang for beer). http://i.imgur.com/rlwJ2.gif I drink Walmart brand caffeine free diet cola, but I ask my wife to "Please bring me a "coke"." As I ride around the country, I want to "speak the language" of the locals. It always amazes me when I'm in a restaurant and ask for a diet coke and they tell me, "We have Pepsi; Is that okay?"... I wonder how many people actually say "Oh, no. I don't like Pepsi". I'm not saying they don't taste a little bit different from each other, but seriously.... Bonus question...Who sells more Coke than The Coca Cola company?
  2. I pulled the clutch as was described in Fred's excellent post, and scrubbed the hell out of the fiber plates with a wire brush untill the glaze was gone, all disks were within tolerance as inspection with a micrometer (thanks to autozone). I wonder how long it will take to glaze again... The coca cola in the hydraulic lines was bled out until it ran clear with new fluid. Now my Blondie can't wait to pass cars going 60, and the clutch action feels to the hand as crisp as I'd imagine a new bike (don't know, never had one). You old farts rock! Oh, wait, I'm and old fart, too. I ferget. Next: change coca cola out of the brake lines!
  3. I saw an episode of MythBusters last week. They put "cola" and aluminum foil up against some readily available chrome cleaner. Their conclusion was the cola and foil cleaned better and removed rust stains better than the chrome cleaner from the auto parts store. Only problem was the sticky soda residue. I normally use NeverDull. What do you use?
