Where would the letter code be located on the basket trying to buy one online and the image has an update clutch spring imtold him if it's an I basket I will buy it today he does not know where to look for the code and neither do I imhave been searching on line and can't find anything on how to determine the letter. I'm putting together a Hannigan Trike conversion check list and one of their questions is for a paint code. How do I locate the paint code for a 2009 RS Venture (the red paint).

Father in-laws '89 Venture Royale is still throwing an E-4 code. I took the control box to the local TV repairman, he repaired several broken solder joints and went over all the conections. Any other idea's of why she is still throwing E-4, I am a Harley guy myself, all these electronics are hurting my brain. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time; Elvis

I called the Dodge dealer to ask about an error code I'm getting on my truck: U1421 implausible Ignition Key Off Time Received. For a mere $87 they will tell me what the code means .....:think: Uhhhh.... I already know what it means, I want to know what causes it and why. Guess i ask too many stupid questions:whistling:

Well, got the Fork seals replaced last week. Not too hard to do, no surprises there. Manual says you need to remove the fairing... I say, No you don't. Just need a couple of special tools, and tada, no fairing removal or handlebars either. did the whole job in about two hours. including cleanup It looked like the oil had never been changed, ever. yuck. So I did Guide, and Slide bushings too. Some new sae 10 Yamalube, and it's all set for another 20 years, hehe, well maybe 5. Anyway, next up, Ride the damn thing. If any one is interested, I'll share my tips for non fairing removal. Oh ya, Found the key code, and had new keys made too. No cheap copies. Key code was easier to find than one might think, but that's for another Thread Later, Kerry

OK folks, I have a factory Yamaha key for a 2nd gen - it came from a 2007 RSV - guess I forgot to give the 2nd key to the buyer a few years ago! There are a limited number of key codes made, so it is quite possible you might have a bike with the same code: A7772 I have no idea if Yamahaha changed the codes from year to year, but if you have any year 2nd gen, I'd suggest you check your key code just in case it matches (only if you want the key, of course!). Would someone know the paint code for a 2006 RSTD? The paint is Pearl White. Had the O'reilly's man use his paint scanner on the saddle bag and it came up with White Gold?? he said it was not the right color?He said I have the Two stage paint $$. He also used his little color folder as well trying to see if he had a color match No luck so far:(. he said he would keep this on file and see what he can come up with later?. Also asked The local Yamaha dealer for help as well, and they could care less.. one reason why I do not buy from them anymore...... So anybody have a Good Paint Code I can give him?? he said an automotive paint code would be better?? He said motorcycle paint codes do him no good?? I don't now why he said that?? Guess his computer doesn't carry Motorcycle Paint codes?? Reason I'm asking is my Mom bought me a new after market H.D. Fairing for my Birthday last month. And I have a Venture trunk I been saving, glad I dint sell it now. Anyway I want to add these to the RSTD and I hope I get a good color match?

Anyone happen to know the PPG paint code for an 08 "Black Cherry" RSV? The code on the sticker under the seat is 02c9g-010. Colorrite has the paint code for a "Venure" (no "T")....maybe just a misprint??? Thanks!

I read the posts and did the soldering and went from an E4 error code to an E2 error code. I can now hear clicking at the rear of the bike where the compressor is but it doesn't run. I'm about to call Progressive Suspensions and say the hell with it. Anybody have any ideas? -
I'm in the market for an OBD II code reader/scanner. I just want to be able to read the codes and reset them if necessary. I don't mind using one in conjunction with my laptop if it saves me a few bucks. Any recommendation?
