1. Chris Hammon wanted to join our FB page, but I did not see him listed as a VR.Org member. I sent him a message on his FB page requesting him to join VR.Org. first and then he can become a member on our FB page. I accidendently blocked him on FB, and I am not sure how to undo what I did . If anyone knows Chris, as a member here please accept his request on FB. I could not find his name in our community. Thanks Eck

7. I have exchanged a few messages with Chris Richard (Mike Richard's Brother) and he mentioned he was having issues getting Mikes bike back to Ontario from Calgary AB. Does anyone know of a way to help get Mikes bike to his brother Chris? Can we set up a relay? Or is there a reasonably priced way to get a bike across Canada? If you have any ideas please let me know so I can tell Chris, he would really like to have his brothers bike home. Brian
8. Geesh, last summer it was one clocked at 142 MPH. Last fall it was one at 148 MPH. The other day the record was broken again. 158 MPH on a four lane road and Interstate. The only thing not running WOT is the brain. OMAHA, Neb. -- Jonathan Goodburn, 20, faces numerous charges after being clocked going 158 mph and leading police on a high-speed chase on his motorcycle. Now Goodburn and his family regret his split-second decision. Nebraska State Patrol troopers spotted Goodburn with a group of about 20 other motorcyclists driving at a high rate of speed near 156th Street and West Dodge Road Saturday night. Authorities eventually arrested him along Highway 36 near Cunningham Lake. Goodburn's mother, Chris Goodburn, admits her son made a major mistake by taking off and not stopping for police. "Once he got in far enough that he was already running, he was trying to figure out when he should stop," she said. Capt. Bret Friesz with the Nebraska State Patrol said the chase lasted 24 minutes and traveled 32 miles. Goodburn was clocked at 158 mph at one point. "It was probably a one-minute bad decision that drug out over 24 minutes," said Friesz. Goodburn called his mother from jail while KETV NewsWatch 7 was interviewing her Monday. "He says he's sorry that he put other people's lives in danger," said Chris Goodburn. She said the split-second decision cost her son his job. He was expected to be in court on Tuesday. Goodburn told his mother that he's learned his lesson. "His lesson that he'd want to share with everybody is don't do it, it's not worth it," said Chris Goodburn. 12. I know there is quite a bit of info on this, but yesterday when I was out riding for the first time this season and on my new to me 2004 RSV, it popped and backfired on deceleration. The air filter is clean and I changed the fuel filter. I think tomorrow I will sync my carbs. Anyone have any suggestions on what else I could do that might possibly stop the popping and backfiring? It isn't bad, but it is still there. Thanks in advance Chris
13. Nina & I hooked up with Chris (Panjandrum) and a few of his "Coast Riders" group today and got out for a great day of PMS therapy. Weather was partly sunny but still a fair amount of cloud and high around 8 celcius by mid afternoon although when we headed out around 10AM, I don't think it was over 4 degrees. Chris took us over a number of "back country" routes we'd not been on before so it was nice to see some different scenery. Stopped for lunch in Cultus Lake and then headed to Birchwood Dairy for ice cream. From there we split up and Nina & I and another couple headed home while Chris and the others continued on to places unknown...like maybe Whiterock??? Anyhoo, aside from it being a bit chilly and the few drops of rain we encountered, I'm happy to report that the PMS has dramatically subsided....for now! Was the first ride with the Khromewerks mufflers on. Yep, they are definately louder than the drilled out RK's ... but I like the tone of them better...so does Nina. One thing for sure is I don't think I'll be leaving them on when we do any longer rides as I think the constant "drone" and loudness when pulling hills, etc might be cause for a bit of a headache ... definately not good when riding with a hangover LOL! A few pics ...
14. Hi, I drive a 2004 Midnight Venture and I am looking for a new GPS unit. I have an ten year old Garmin Nuvi 360 but it has too many restrictions. I am looking for something that I can set multi way points with and that can retrace my route. What are you folks using and what do you suggest? Thank you in advance Chris in Red Deer, Alberta
15. I am thinking I would like to put a bit of pin striping on my 2004 Midnight Venture and was wondering if anyone has done this themselves and if they have used a kit and where to purchase them. Thank you for any help or advice. Chris in Red Deer
16. It's that time of year again when those of us that are yearning for the hunt get that disorder that is commonly referred to as Buck Fever. Those of you not interested in hunting may not understand. But, being a life time hunter it hits me hard about the time I notice the leaves changing. This year one of our members and one of my newest bestest friends generously offered to let me hunt on his property which is located smack dab in the middle of prime Georgia deer and wild hog territory. The weekend before last I got a late start for the morning hunt to get to my spot and settled before sunrise. So, on the way to the stand I spooked the big boy as he was passing my stand on the way to breakfast. And as a result he blew and ran off and I blew my chance at bagging a big buck for a least that hunt on that day. So the next hunt day ended up being yesterday. And, I was pretty determined to get to my spot on time. Buuuuut, My house mate, sidekick and hunting companion, Chris (lovingly referred to as Miss Stumpy, sometimes Guney Bird) does not respond well to being aroused from her slumbers at 4:AM nor does she seem amused, pleased or motivated by my motivational and time management speech which pretty much consist of repeating over and over again....................... "Areba, areba...... on-delay, on-delay, on-delay......no time for that........don't stop now.......... we're burning daylight!!!!!! " I don't know why. So, to appease her so she would get in the car, and with alterior motives, :whistling:I offered to drive. Knowing full well that I would be able to make up some lost time while she slept in the passenger seat on the way. Time wise we were cutting it close and about three miles away from the property I was watching the first hint of daylight peeping over the horizon when in my peripheral vision I see a humongous buck (with a rack bigger than anything I have ever killed in a lifetime of hunting), leap through a hedgerow and over the fence alongside the road just in time to land on the hood of the car. Now I wasn't really watching the speedometer nor do I know exactly how fast the buck was moving through mid air but, I estimate the combined impact was somewhere around 100 MPH. As much as Chris hates to be woken up at 4:00 AM she really hates being woken up by the airbag smacking her in the face as it deployed. As much as I was hoping to kill a big buck yesterday morning this was not exactly what I had in mind, obviously. Understandably, she was quite upset, shaken up and scared :Bunny2:as we were on the side of the road, out in the middle of the country and out of cell phone range inspecting the damage to HER smashed up car. I was gonna try to put the dead humongous 8 point buck in the trunk but I couldn't lift it by myself and Chris wasn't interested in having anything else to do with that deer at that point in time. Being more concerned with her car than the dead deer, rightfully so. The damage to the car was pretty dramatic with a broken windshield, deployed passenger airbag, missing right front head light, crumpled hood and right front fender. But, fortunately the car was still drivable. The engine would run and it wasn't spewing radiator steam. So, we left the dead deer on the side of the road and rode on to the property. I couldn't blame Chris for not wanting to go hunting after all of that, but, since we were there I figured what the heck. Chris went back to sleep in the camper while I went hunting in time to miss a shot at a 300 pound wild hog. Later in the morning John, his son Jesse and I went back to the scene of the accident to retrieve the deer. But, to my disappointment someone had seen the humongous dead buck roadkill and had claimed it for their own trophy wall. Since Chris' car was close to the end of it's economic life. She had opted for liability and uninsured motorist insurance and passed on the comprehensive insurance coverage when time to renew her insurance policy. So, since the buck was an uninsured deer and not an uninsured motorist, Geico was not gonna be of much help. That being the case, first thing this morning, my son Clint and I were at Pull-A-Part junk yard in search of and pulling vintage Chevrolet parts. To my delight and surprise we found the hood, fender, headlight and airbag assembly all for less than $150.00. The two of us got out the tools and tore into the project like experienced and professional auto body shop mechanics.... which we're not. None the less, amazingly we got the unibody cross member perfectly straight by use of a logging chain, a gigantic pine tree and a quick joilt in reverse. By lunch time we were bolting on our new vintage Chevrolet parts. By dark we had the car back together as good as new..........almost. Except for the two tone paint job and the still cracked windshield. Since I know I'm gonna end up painting the car anyway I'm thinking ghost flames and maybe an airbrushed depiction of a dead Humongus eight point buck on the hood, or something else equally cool. I hadn't mentioned that part to Chris yet.

18. A friend of mine that some of y'all know, Chris, who rides a Road Glide, called the other day and said "I ran into a friend of yours." Chris drives a Life Flight Helicopter out of Hugo Oklahoma; he works 15 days on and 15 days off. He commutes from Atlanta. He was on his way to work Saturday (a 12 hour trip) and called to say that he stopped in a little town in western Arkansas for a bite at a KFC. The grilled chicken hasn't made it that far west, by the way. This town was so small that he said the WalMart should have a historic plaque proclaiming it the smallest WalMart in the world. As he pulled in and parked for some yard bird, 2 bikes pulled in. One was a Harley and the other was a Kawasaki Voyager. He said he parked and walked in as the bikes went around and stopped on the other side. He walked thru' and out the other side and said to the Kawi rider "You sure are an ugly old fart!". He said Lowell looked at him like "I know you but can't call your name", that was ok 'cause Chris couldn't remember LA's name either. They spent about a 1/2 hour having lunch and talkin' (read: telling lies! ). It sure is a small world when two friends can meet by accident at a Colonel Buckets hundreds of miles from their respective homes!!! The Ambassador is on the road again!

Lets see......great prices and exceptional service.....no brainer where im getting any future parts from. Plus hes a member here too!! http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com Update: Chris e-mailed me back today to say the part came in and it will be overnighted to me so I should have it on Monday as promised. (UPS is closed on Sat). Im impressed!
