Boy, I get a newer bike and I seem to be on the site a lot more. Go figure. I had a chatterbox tandem pro HJC-50 that I used on my 1st gen but the 2nd gen has a built in intercom/radio. Does anyone know or if it is possible to have an adapter cord that goes from the chatterbox (looks like 7 pin) to a 5 pin setup?

A friend of mine this morning asked me if the CHATTERBOX GMRS-X1 Bluetooth Bike-to-Bike Communication System would work and communicate with a Venture CB (and/or I might think the J & M set up as well, etc). I spent some time looking through Chatterbox's website, varopis magazine articles, WebBike World's site, etc., and can't find that specific answer. My belief is that Chatterbox is only peer to peer - and though they state that they have 22 channels to communicate with/from, is that with regular CB radios - or only peer to peer? Thanks in advance for any guidance regarding this.

I am using two CBDNROHSB Chatterbox headsets, bought them last December, started using them this spring. We were getting a lot of external noise (wind, etc.) and I thought it was from the passenger microphone because I figured she was getting more wind buffeting than me. I finally got to the point that I turn off the intercom until we need to communicate, just too much noise. Well, I have discovered that it's my microphone creating all of the outside noise, not from the passenger. The only way I can stop the noise is by using my left hand to cover the mike, squeeze my fingers together and really tighten my fist around the microphone. I compress the foam down to the point I can feel the microphone under the foam and then the noise stops. If I just cover the mike loosely it doesn't help. I'm wondering if anyone else is using this particular headset kit (or another from Chatterbox) and what your experience with it has been.

I have a wierd problem that just started yesterday evening. I have the older Chatterbox headsets that have a cable between the driver and passenger and on yesterday's ride with Linda, I started having the static that goes up and down with the rpm. It is only in my headset and the really wierd part is if I touch something metal, like the clutch or brake lever or the risers, the sound goes away. I have had these units for probably 13 years and have never had this problem before. This particular box is a couple of years old. The only change I have made electrically to the bike is to mount the TCI in the left fairing on the wall behind the radio. I would think this might be the problem, but we rode a couple of days ago and did not have this problem. This Chatterbox system is not connected to the bike in any way. Any suggestions? RandyA

I see several sources for the ChatterBox DNR Touring kit at around $85.00. Anyone using this? Seems like an economical way to go if it works OK. The reviews I've looked at seem to say it's OK, but I trust the responses here more than on the sales web sites. Motorcycle Superstore has free shipping right now too.

My wife and I both have the chatterbox FRS system which we use to talk rider to rider. They also have an aux port to plug in an MP3 player which I use pretty much always. I have an 86 Standard Venture (so no goodies on board). That being said, I have a Garmin 265wt that I want to mount to the bike (in a waterproof case designed specifically for that).... Here's the problem.......how do I get the voice to my helmet headset??? The 265 is bluetooth compatable but the Chatterbox isn't.......the only input is the mp3 jack. Anyone up on the new technology have any suggestions??:starz:

Looking at getting a Chatterbox Headset for my wife's flip-up helmet. She doesn't ride very often, but it would be nice to be able to converse. Any experiences with these?

Hi people, A couple of weeks ago while browsing on the internet I saw something that might help me. It was a company that sold a little pocket (two to a set) for you headphones that attached to the webbing of you helmet. My wife and I have about four helmets apiece but none of them are full face or full helmets so regular setups from Chatterbox won't work. I'm like most people as I visit a hundred or more sites a week but I can't remember where I saw these pockets Anyone got any ideas? Joshua

How many of you are running the Edsets and in your opinion are they worth the extra money say over the J&M? I have the chatterbox now and have never really liked them and also they do not have good volume. Tom
