Iowa State Patrol troopers said they tried to stop Justin Mandina for going 72 mph in a 55 mph zone as he rode a motorcycle north on Interstate 29. Mandina turned around at Ninth Avenue and continued south on to Interstate 80. As officers followed him west on I-80, authorities said the chase reached speeds of 120 mph. The Iowa State Patrol had just called off the chase as they crossed into Nebraska when Mandina lost control of the bike and flipped it several times near the 13th Street exit ramp. Mandina was taken to Creighton University Medical Center, but he was alert and standing after the crash, according to authorities. Mandina told the state patrol he took off because he didn't have a motorcycle license or insurance. He now faces several charges in Iowa and Nebraska. Kid is lucky to be in one piece. Must of had enough sense to wear some protective gear at least. I run this stretch of road every day and see these kids blasting through traffic on a way too regular basis. Damn shame he didn't have enough sense to just stop and take the tickets and deal with it. I suppose it might be a while before he can find affordable bike insurance now. Oh wait! He won't be needing it!

– Fri Dec 3, 11:24 am ET BERLIN (Reuters Life!) – Caught in the buff, a drunken 19-year-old Australian man led German police on a chase through Munich's main train station late Wednesday before slipping on a wet floor where he was later apprehended unhurt. The Sydney native wore only his shoes and held his underwear in his hand during the chase in freezing temperatures, a spokesman for the Bavarian state police said. The teenager quickly changed into his underwear once he fell and police later covered him in a blanket. During questioning the teenager told police that he was carrying out a bet with friends that he could travel through Europe naked. The Bavarian capital was the 11th city on his tour and the first in which he was caught out, according to police. "I simply like to be naked," the police spokesman quoted him as saying. The Australian teenager was fined 100 euros ($132). (Writing by Eric Kelsey; editing by Paul Casciato)

from US and now they're putting it right in my pocket. I'm behind on my Chase card. Hmmm, how can this be? I have the money auto deducted from my account every month. Oh, wait Chase arbitrarily raised my monthly payment . Now, I've seen that this can be done, in the small print, but in 40 years I've never had this happen before. To make a long story short I get a letter from them (Chase) offering to assist me by and I quote: Reduce your interest rate Reduce your monthly payment Reduce your debt Reduce your worries So naturally I give them a call. All they want to assist with is lightening my already lighter than air wallet. In fact the only help I got so far was immediate cancellation of the Chase card. I'm supposed to call them back with my life and debt history, but I can't see it. I guess I'm in a trick here and don't really know what to do. Thanks for listening.
