Well we have a grandaughter now. She weighed 8lbs 5.6 ounces. I have no idea how long she is and they haven't settled on a name yet. Just got the call and called Jeff at work to let him know. We'll be heading out tomorrow they live on the other side of Charlotte. Hopefully they'll have a name for her by then. OH and don't worry grandma will have plenty of pics once I get a hold of her. It was great riding the bike today! It has been a while so the day was absolutely perfect! We got to meet Bumblebee this morning. Kevin had other commitments so could not ride up to Charlotte with us. Hopefully next time he can! I bet you can't guess what color his bike is! Keith, one of the guys who works with George, rode up with us and had a great time meeting the guys! Lunch was great at McCoy's, it is definitely a place to keep in mind to eat when we are in Charlotte! We stopped at McLeod Farms on the way home to get peaches and a peach enchilada but the line was so long I had to be satisfied with a picture to prove that we were there! Thanks Mark for putting this together! It was good seeing everyone! http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%2020110716%20Charlotte%20ME/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ20

Anyone want to join me I plan on leaving by 9am and plan on being gone into the early evening. I usually stop and snack once before 11a and then stop and eat around 130p but this is mostly about riding. Just pm me or post here if you want to ride with me.

The wife and I are going to take a ride to Charlotte, NC (from Orlando), and I'm looking for scenic routes. We are planning on a 2-3 day ride up to Charlotte, spend a couple of days in the Charlotte area, then a 2-3 day ride back to FL, so we really aren't in a big hurry... So I'm asking the fine folks here for some route suggestions through GA, SC & NC. I prefer to use Interstates only as connectors (20-30 miles max)....everything else is fair game! Thanks!!

I woke up this morning and decided that I would go to the big city. What a great event! The sponsor dealers were fantastic and I saw all the new merchandise for firearms, scopes, lighting etc. This was a huge event and according to the Charlotte city people the largest event ever held in the city.

A man who has become a friend purchased my RSTD. His name is Martin and he lives by Charlotte, NC. He is flying in this coming Saturday night to pick up the bike and ride it back to his home. He is a professional firefighter in Charlotte and all around good guy. I met him a few weeks ago when he was checking out a new fire engine for his department. He will be staying at my house Sat. night and we will be leaving with him on Sunday morning. Linda and I will ride about 200 miles with him and would like to arrange some riding company for him the rest of the way. We have not planned a route for him yet, but would like to get it done in 2 days, so I would imagine there will be a fair amount of interstate. The route will be from Merrimac, WI to Charlotte, NC Martin has also joined our group, but I don't know his user name, yet. Thanks

We will be taking a weekend trip from Fredericksburg, VA to my sister's house in Charlotte. Normally we take 360 to 58 to 29 out of VA into Greensboro and then get on 85. This is the first bike trip to her house and that's what we will probably do on the way down. There does not appear to be a good alternative for 85 between Greensboro and Charlotte. On the way back was considering Rte 49 all the way up and across Kerr Lake until I hit 360. Any info on this road, particularly in NC or any other road suggestions.

This doesn't have a bit to do with MC's, but I thought someone on the board just might be remorely interested. And if not that's OK too. The auctiion is located in Mt. Dora, Florida, Charlotte, North Carolina and Summerville, South Carolina. It only for one day, so things will probably go cheap. See http://www.westauction.com/index.php?a=1112&g=62
