Can I make a stupid suggestion here? Lets get into the Powerball. We can PayPal Freebird three bucks. That pays for one chance, $2.00, and gives us somthing extra. We can donate what is left. Two dollars for the PB chance and we decide what charity gets the cash by a member vote for the remaining funds. Crazy idea? I donate alot of time and money to those I will never meet. It is a good feeling. The best feeling I have ever had in my life. We could wait til the next pull if nobody hits.

Bought a new Tourmaster Rincon jacket last April. But since then its been in the 90's and 100's practically all summer here in Texas, so I never got a chance to try it out. But today, it was in the mid 40's to mid 50's and I got a chance to give the jacket a test drive. WOW! I have to say, even a grizzled old leather wearing biker like me can learn new tricks! That thing is WARM! I got a good deal on it from Motorcycle Superstore back in April, only $99. I have just about worn out my trusty 20 year old leather jacket, so it was about time to try something new. Roadside Marine in Williston VT. When I did my clutch upgrade I must had either pinched the gasket or didn't scrape it off good and now I have a very small leak. I stopped to get a new gasket and the one they had was broken but he gave me a tube of stuff they use and said try this with the broken gasket and just drop the tube off when I have a chance. He gave me the broken gasket no charge. They are great people there.

Went on a road trip through the NE corner of Pennsylvania last weekend. Stopped at a place near Titioute on Route 6 called Simpler Times museum. Happened on it by chance, found the door to be locked, with a sign "open by appointment or chance". Just then an old timer (88) stopped by in his truck and opened up. He lives just out back, so if it's closed you can probably get him to open up.....he loves to tell you about the history of the stuff inside. Mostly old cars, trucks, gas pumps, drilling equipment and tractors. He'll charge you $4 to enter, and it's money well spent. He has quite a collection in the 5 or 6 buildings on site. I particularly enjoyed the two ancient Mac Trucks he has. One of them is chain drive. My peeps and I were glad we stopped. If you're in the area, check it out.....you'll be glad you did.

I found a nice used toyhauler, so I took the plunge. I'm hoping I can get the wife to come along to some of the places I normally ride like Sturgis. It sure would would be nice to spend some of that time with her. I can do a little riding while out there. But since she wont ride at all, its my only chance. Heres a few pics. Its a 2005 26 foot U.S. Cargo. Its heavy, so I added a equalizer/anti sway hitch as well. Should be fun!

Anyone have any stats as to which has a greater chance being in an accident? A car or a motorcycle? Been searching and nothing comes up.

:080402gudl_prv:Was in Gatlinburg Tn. this past week and saw 2 different Ventures . Ok 1st one was Silver and was parked next to Hillbilly Harley . Went inside when i came out it was gone. 2nd was in the Ware.s valley area near Cades Cove . This one was Blue i saw it twice but couldnt catch it as i was in my cage. If it was someone on here let me know. Both had Tn tags. Also in Springhill tn there is a MM that i see alot trying to catch them but never gotten the chance anyone know who it might be??

Just unvailed tonight here is the 911 Remembrance trophy for first place in the car show. Twin towers done in mirror. Very cool and one of a kind. OK...so we've seen the video of the 19 year old going airborne in his Trans Am. There were several comments something like "hey...we've all done stupid things and been lucky enough to live and tell about it":doh: So...now here's the chance to tell about it! Mine was pretty simple...but its the one that sticks in mind the most (yes there were others!) I was riding TOO FAST on one stretch of winding up hill road (Albion Rd. for you folks who know Hamilton, ON) The last corner was a tight right and I just couldn't get it to go around the corner. I drifted into the oncoming lane just as I was cresting the hill. It was steep enough I couldn't see over it and it is only blind chance that I didn't become a hood ornament on some car! I still get shivers when I think about what might have been. So Whats yours??? I'm thinking this might lead to a LONG thread

A new member here jpbragwell1215 came by the house today. He rides a Tour Deluxe. We had a chance to compare bikes and talk a while. A really nice guy.

That 2 wheel combo removal system works pretty slick; thanks to the guy who posted this idea years ago; I finally got a chance to try it out with 2 new tires going on today.

I got misunderstood on here not long ago. But of course I still ain't backing up. Was talking to my Insurance Agent today to switch Insurances. When I told her that ANPAC ( MY Insurance) didn't seem too interested in fighting this she about hung up on me telling me she would call me back. She called me back minutes later and told me ANPAC was fighting it and thought they might get it turned around in my favor even without a Reconstion Expert. She said the rep handling it did not want to tell me something that could fall through. Very understandable. She said not to hold her to anything but gave me some hope. She could understand what I've been going through for over a month not knowing anything but that it looked like I was going to loose big time because of a Stupid Moron of a Law Enforcement Officer. ( Now I will make a bunch more mad) I am Law Emforcement myself hanging on to the bottom rung of that ladder as a Correctional Officer. Skid knows what I think of Sheriff's Dept. I think Skid is a outstanding Law Enforcement Officer but don't want to give him big head. Anyway the ANPAC rep told my agent that it was the worst accident report he had ever seen but there was a good chance they could turn it around anyway. My statement was very good. I'm used to writing them against jail-house lawyers. I have bumped heads with the Sheriff's Dept. several times. I think this was a chance to get back. I will be very glad to give them my opinion of using your office for personal gain. Didn't mean to write book but I may not have to shoot myself after all. Just kidding but this has really been working on me. Wish me luck.

I was looking up a couple things at work today and stumbled across this world economic map. It shows all the countries and what state the economic indicators are pointing to in that country. I am thinking we might all feel a bit better when we get a chance to look at the map and see that everyone seems to be in a similar boat to us, all over the world ,except parts of Asia and Central America. http://www.economy.com/dismal/map/default.asp Brian
