I have a 2007 Venture & just installed a centerstand. All was well until I scraped the centerstand on a driveway curb. I noticed that the stand was hitting the Emissions Valve, so it wasn't up all the way. I tried to relocate the E valve per the Rivco directions. No luck, the directions seem easy enough, pull the bracket off and mount it backwards. It didn't move the E Valve far enough to allow the centerstand to not contact it. I was thinking of drilling new mounting holes higher up on the frame. Any ideas?

Does anyone here with a Rivco centerstand also have the leveling links installed? Does it work OK with the links? Thanks, Ron

I have a 2002 RSV and was given a centerstand off of an 84 venture. Matching up the bolt holes to the bracket on the chassis seems to be exact. Does anyone know if I can just attach it to the existing holes on the chassis and if I can, does someone have a diagram on how the spring and lever attach to the stand and frame?

I like using the centerstand on my 86' Venture. When packing/unpacking the trailer/bike combo it's very handy. Of course, getting the bike on the stand is beastly but I'm a strong guy and am well rehearsed even fully laden. Anyway..... About a month ago I was putting it up on the stand and the foot pushing part just bent. My question is how do I get the centerstand off? I plan on welding a big old, some sort of repair. Thanks in advance. Great forum!

I have read enough about Raising my 2005 RS Tour dlx. to make me dangerous. It appears to me a Bike Jack (ala sears) will hit the pipes before frame. I am thinking a centerstand is right for me. I have had several bikes with them and LIKED It. I am not someone who can cough up $300.00 for one. What year Centerstand from an older bike do I need AND Is someone currently making the adapter parts???I do my own work and am somewhat Mech. inclined but dont really want to fab my own adapter bracket as I am not a Machine shop kinda guy. I Think this bike is Amazing for its weight. Lag in cruise control kicking in normal? Speedo moves up a little notchy, normal? bike has 14,000 miles and is a 2005 model would you Flush the brakes and clutch (hyd.)? Tune it (plugs) Change Thermostat? Many Thanks in Advance bf

Had been looking for quite a while and finally got me a deal on a Rivco centerstand from another member. He had it installed for one day and then removed it, so it is literally brand new. It will surely be an asset to me with my tinkering. I wish all bikes had centerstands.

Yesterday my bike was knocked off the centerstand. I've never had this happen before. I guess the contributing factor was the 6.5 earthquake that did it. A true act of God. It was a really hard shaker and the bike got the worst of it. Now I need a new windshield and trim. Here is the footage I shot for ABC lastnight.
