Well we made it to Arkansas dodging rain, hail, and tornado's on the way down last weekend. We arrived to our cabin to find out that the owner had no idea what a touring motorcycle was. Our cabin was straight up the side of the hill. It was wet and we were pulling trailers. Very challenging to get there and I emailed them and told them to tell others that it was not safe for bikes. Other than that we had a great time and the cabin was wonderful and secluded. We rode about 1500 miles around Arkansas and enjoyed every road we were on (except the cabin hill climb). Weather was wonderful and sunny. Left Marshall Arkansas Saturday morning around 9:30 am and arrived home at 9:30 pm. It was a long day, rode a little over 600 miles and it was cold later in the day. Ok, so I am one week back from an awesome 10 days on the road for my annual Atlanta to the Dak's back road twister. Almost perfect conditions bar a day off to weather Irene (in a cozy cabin mind you). Mentioned to my riding buddy that there is nothing sweeter than the sound of wind and rain on the roof of a cabin verses the top of your tiny tent, and he agreed. May have only been 2400 miles over those glorious days but never a better divorce from my reality back at work. And now 7 days later all I can think about is when is the next road trip, even am spying toy hauler sites to consider for extended times away. All I can say is I am a winning lottery ticket away from a vagabond lifestyle. Anyone want to contribute to the fund? All the best, Norm

Picked up a bent over nail in Casper WY. I'm with Phoneman1981 and graderman and friends. Put a plug in but still have a slow leak. The good news is I'm with friends. Yamaha dealer here is closed Monday. The good news is I made to an airconditioned MacDonalds on the plug. Going to try to replug it and make it to Cody. Thats 200 miles. Friesman1 (Brian Fries) and Camos (Clive) and I are sharing a cabin at Ponderosa. Take the cabin if I'm late. I'll send email to Ponderosa.

Folks, the Ponderosa in Cody, WY has just a few cabins and they were all booked up. I had one of those reserved. I have just canceled my as Eileen and I have decided to take our chance on using our hotel points to save the money. So, they now have ONE cabin available. If you want it, you better call fast because it won't last long. You can call Linda at (307) 587-9203 tell her that you are calling about the cabin that Don Nelson had reserved. Please post here if you have reserved it so that others won't bother to keep calling. The downside is that you will likely be a neighbor to Squid boy.

This is Murray, one of the guys I ride with in the local chapter of the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers. Its pretty obvious to me that he has a BAD case of cabin fever. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_iLG7FcgbY]YouTube- Rocker Burnout[/ame] Brian

Just spent 3 nights in a cabin in Pigeon Forge. Tonight were in a cabin at the KOA East in Asheville. We spent a couple hours in Cherokee before heading north up the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had planned the next 3 nights to be a camping adventure tent style up the parkway. Just had a hard rain here and all the rain at night has changed my mine.MaMamo is rarely in a good mood dry so don't get her wet.We got the kids and the dog along next stop Rocky Knob Virginia up the parkway about 225 miles north.Later

Heads up: Vogal Stae Park cabin available. We had to cancel our cabin reservation for the state park since we won't be able to attend the rally. Our loss here can be someone elses gain. Larry

Cabin 19 should be available at Vogel. I had it reserved for Thursday,Friday, and Saturday nights.Circumstances have changed and were doing a family outing that week. Have fun whoever gets it.

I got my cabin at Vogel.............not much left to pick from, seems everything is booked, either a lot of people have made reservations or something else is going on. For a while, I thought I wasnt going to get one...............that would have sucked....... So DragonRider, DragonLady, Wingman, and his bride will be in cabin 28 up on the hill overlooking the lake............. Party time..........big deck overlooking the lake..........cant wait. And no rangers across the street.........

Now I remember why I sold the Vmax. I used to ride a bonneville to high school. I'm thinking get that cabin up on the other side of the creek. Then a garage and one of these. http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2006models/2006-Triumph-RocketIII-Classic.htm
