Ok... So, I installed an aftermarket Radio and an antenna from my local CTC. The Radio is buzzing like crazy with antenna installed, but shuts up when it's unplugged. The antenna is installed correctly - I think. I thought it might not be grounded well enough so I removed the antenna and ground it directly to the frame... still buzzing. HELP

Disregard this post...... upon further inspection i figured out how the cover was mounted.... MY 2007 Midnight RSTD has developed a "Buzzing" sound at high idle and 'at speed' - the noise is coming from the left lower fork cover. this cover has a little movement (the other side is solid) in it causing the buzzing.....i can temporarily fix it by simply pushing on the cover to stop the noise but eventually it starts all over again. I looked at my service manual to see if i could understand how this cover is secured, but the info isn't detailed enough to figure it out. I know we have some very knowledgeable members out there and hope one of you can offer advice. The incessant buzzing going down the road is ANNOYING !! Help ........ Buz

When I finally got a headset for my RSV, I was told it transmitted a buzzing noise over my voice. I attributed it to the cheap Motocom headset. I have since up graded to J&M headsets. This afternoon, the neighbor across the street asked me to listen for a radio check from his Wing. He came in loud and clear, but he said he could hear me ok, too, but there was a buzzing when I hit the transmit button. The buzzing is the same engine running or not running. Any suggestions???

Sunday I stopped for gas, and the bike wouldn't start with a buzzing noise. A push start later, and I was home. Of course, it started right up. This morning, I just got buzzing again. I've heard variously that it could be the starter solenoid or the starter relay. I just can't interpret the manual and the posts here as to where these are? Under the battery? Can someone kindly point me where it is? What does it look like? Dave

The past couple of days my turn signals would sometimes work when the button was pushed left or right, other times it wouldn't work but if I toyed with the switch a few times they usually would work. Today riding home from work, they wouldn't work and nothing I did could get either one to flash. When I got home, I killed the engine with the kill switch and with the ignition switch still on. When the motor stopped running, I could hear a light buzzing noise somewhere near the front of the bike - at first I thought the fan might be running but it wasn't. It took me a minute to figure out that it's related to the turn signals. When I push down on the turn-signal switch or move it to center, the buzzing stops. When I push it left or right for one of the turn signals, the buzzing starts again but no turn signal. Slice the button the other way a little and the buzzing stops again. I guess it's more like a fast repeating click than a buzz. What could be causing the noise and the turn signal problem ?

Had a wire come off the stable horn. Touched the pipe and caused a short. It melted some plastic off the wiring in the fairing. I've gone through and re-taped, replaced, and recovered the wiring. Everything comes on when you turn on the ignition. But when you press the starter button the Starter Relay Assembly buzzes and thats all. What have I messed up or did the short cause the relay to go bad? I checked all the fuses behind the right side lower cover. Checked the ones under the left side cover below the seat. Checked both fuses that are on the Starter relay assembly. What am I missing? Part number 37 is what is buzzing. http://webservices.motorsportdealers.com/parts/partImages/YAM/2/02/0025/0053.Gif

My bike seems to have developed a "buzzing" in the grips that wants to put my fingertips to sleep. I'm getting the "needles in the fingertips" after an hour or so on the bike. I like the stock grips, but will go after market on them if I have to to get rid of this buzzing. Any ideas about how to get rid of it?

Under the right side cover (the one above the passenger floorboard) there are 2 relays. The larger one is black and is the flasher relay. The other is blue. Does anyone know what this relay is for? Just noticed today that mine makes a buzzing sound when the key is on and the bike is in gear. Put it in neutral and the buzzing stops. Wondering if this is normal or if the relay is going south for the winter.

hope someone can help me woith this one because it sure has me puzzled. My 84 venture has recently started making a buzzing or very loud humming noise that seems to be coming from the dash area behind the tach and spedometer. the noise starts usally when the bike gets just above 40mph and stops when you slow the bike to near a stop. I can place my hand on the dash when it starts and can feel the vibration from the buzzing it is very frustrating and it does it most of the time but not all the time. ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY

Today When I Went To Start My Scoot, Turn Key On And Heard A Buzzing Sound Coming Down Around The Battery. After Searching For The Sound Found It To Be From The Starter Circuit Cut-off Relay. Locate Under The Right Hand Side Panel (little Blue Relay With Four Wires Into It). Went To My Dealer And He Pulled One Off Of A 08 Model (same Number On Part). When I Replaced The Relay The Buzzing Was Still There. This Relay Is Wired To The Kickstand Switch , Clutch Switch And Neutral Switch. Does Anyone Have A Idea On Where To Look Now. Cannot Find The Other Connectors To Disconnect The Three Switches One At A Time To See If I Can Isolate The Problem Causing The Buzzing Sound. Thanx For Your Info Horse

Well I have a problem with my turn signals they work on emergency flash and they burn fine when the bike is running but when I try to use the turn signal all I get is a buzzing noise from the flasher/hazard relay. Bought a used one from Pinwall cycle parts same thing buzzing noise. I attempted to clean the contacts in the switch. Is there a voltage I should look for at the main connector to the flasher/hazard relay? Thanks Jim
