    This may be old news to some, but I just got a copy from the chief Yamaha instructor at MMI in Orlando, thought it could be of use to someone besides me. I mentioned to him thay my CD portion of the audio system was working intermitently, so he sent me the bulletin. 59085.pdf

    Hi Guys, first I should introduce myself; my name is Steffen Hanne and I live in Germany near Berlin. My bike is a RSV Model 1999, newly bought in 2001. A friend of mine has also a Royal Star Venture with the whining clutch basket. I found the thread with the Yamaha Technical Service Bulletin M2002013 and the text posted by Rick Butler (thanks for that). The problem is, that the Yamaha Dealer and also Yamaha Germany didnt know anything about their own TSB (or didnt want to know :-( ) My question is, if anyone here is able to send me the TSB in the original (PDF-Scan) via PM? That would be great!! Greetings from Germany

    Since my 06 RSTD is in the shop to be repaired after the wreck, I told the Service Mgr that I'd like him to replace the I basket with the H basket and quiet the bike down, since it seems to be a technical problem and should be fixed under warranty. He instantly became a little HOSTILE and told me HE would decide what was a warranty issue. Isn't there a bulletin or something out there that acknowledges this problem? It seems I saw it once but.... What do I need to do to get it changed while its in the shop for a few weeks? Thanks guys! Mark

    I have been searching the site for "Service Bulletin" and "I Basket" but I cannot find the service bulletin number for the infamous clutch scream. My RSV is at the dealer for tires (My new Venoms!) and service. The I Basket was new to them. I can't blame them they sell 2 of these a year. He said he will gladly take care of it but he cannot locate a service bulletin about this. I know I have seen the number here. Can anyone help me with that? Please and Thank You!

    This is Tech Bulletin M85-014 which refers to the parts wear resulting in second gear failing. NOTE: The 2nd gear problem was fixed in 1985 after serial number 0001413 M85-014 Transmission Repair Diagnoisis Tips.pdf
