http://www.wwlp.com/dpp/news/local/hampden/downtown-intersection-blocked-off-due-to-apparent-gas-leak Never liked gas at all, they had that one in Indy in the last week or so. Today they had blast that was heard and felt 25 miles away, in our downtown area. Mostly older brick buildings, 2 wiped out, dozen or more that they think will have to come down. Nobody killed but 2 dozen hurt. Never will like gas, I guess.

I stopped by to see a customer today in Knox, PA. While talking, I noticed a picture of a '68 Plymouth Roadrunner convertible on the wall beside his desk. I asked him if that was one that he wished he had kept and he said...Heck...I still have it. Turns out that he is a big Mopar fan. He asked if I wanted to see some old cars and of course I did. We ended up walking through 3 buildings full of early to late 60 Mopars and a couple of early 70 models. This was a very nice guy dressed in Dickie's work clothes and you would think that he was just any regular guy but he had probably close to a million dollars worth of cars in those buildings. Not junk...NICE cars. Most were in very nice original condition or very lightly restored. He had 2 Roadrunner convertibles, 2 beautiful Superbirds, a number of early sixty Satellites, 300's, etc. A couple of early 70 Challengers and several other great cars. All had original engines and most were 383, 440, etc. It was a real treat to walk through and see the cars, sit in them and remember the muscle cars from my teen years. You just never know what you are going to run into.

Air Show Brace yourself before looking at the attached image. A pilot at low level has lost control of his aircraft and It narrowly misses the crowd gathered for the air show. It slams into four buildings. You can only imagine the horror of the occupants trapped inside those buildings.See below! http://venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=52463&d=1291538746 "Probably scared the sh*t out of them!":rotfl::rotfl:

Measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale at 1:41pm. Ive been hearing reports of buildings shaking and being evacuated. Apparently it was felt as far as Boston. Did anyone feel it?

I've got a question for the firefighters. What type of fire do you use a 105 ft ladder truck on? Our local volunteer fire department spent over $750,000 on a truck similar to the one pictured here and the chief has stated that it is too big to go down many of the county roads in the district and on others it shouldn't be driven more than 30 mph. It seems to me that this type of apparatus is better suited for urban areas with high-rise buildings. Not rural developments where the houses or buildings are more than 100' from the road. Does this make sense or am I missing something? DT
