I just wanted to thank the Ventureriders for all of your help in bringing out the jem in the ratty old bike I picked up Christmas eve. Without your knowledge & help finding parts, there would have been NO WAY I could have pulled this off in just over 2 months. - Thanks again!

We've got a TV shoot with Discovery Channel coming up on Tuesday December 6th for any of you that want to get your mug/bike/car on TV. Just come on out to the Gap and they will be shooting us shooting you all going by. We need some subject material! And it would be nice to have a mix of bikes, so don't be shy about bringing out your cruiser/touring bike/dual-sport whatever. Keep it sane, they're just looking for casual riding/driving and we don't need the place portrayed a tool's paradise any more than it already is. Go to killboy.com

Was thinking on adding something to my RSTD seat to give me a little help in the comfort department. Went on a 750 mile round trip ride last weekend, got a tad sore, and was thinking about beads. Not sure if the sheepskin would be better though. This topic has probly been gone over before, if so, sorry for bringing it up again. Sending the seat to Rick Butler would be the best solution, but will have to wait. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Well, I finished up the gauge and tach install..............AND EVERYTHING WORKS!!!!!!! WOOOHOOO!!! The guages were no problem. The tach was a differant animal. Not hard, just differant. Dug050 led me onto the path of righteousnous. Thank you sir! I made up the adapter with a resistor and diode at each coil and she reads about 900 rpm at idle, 2000 rpm with the choke pulled out on warm up. I hooked up to the front two coils. one was easy to get to, the other, not so much but I just took my time, thought things through and everything worked out. I may be making some faceplates with gauges and bringing them to maintainence day. Anyone interested? If I do, I will only be able to make up about 4 depending on the work flow at work and machine availability. Just pm me and we will go from there. I am going to contact the anodizer for color options. Mine are blue. See the attached pic. Now to make some carb covers.................

While cruising down the road the other day, my wife asked - Will this bike, (our 07 Venture), pull the front wheel up like our last bike would, (a really built 75 Honda 750). I told her that I think bringing it up wouldn't be the issue, it would be more bringing it back down that might cause the problem. I know I have seen a video of a full dress HD being ridden quite a ways on the back wheel. A friend at work that owns an Interstate says that no way will these big bikes come up. Don't get me wrong, my wheelie days are long gone. I am just curious. craigr

I have J&M systems in my helmet and my wife's. One earphone has gone out on hers and I'm wondering if it's possible to install the Bose noise cancelling earphones and bringing the audio in from the J&M. And anyone tell me if they would be compatable? Thanks:confused24:

Hey guys. Just found this on eBay. Could be a cheap way of coming down under for a touring holiday WITHOUT bringing your rig with you. You'd get your money back before you went home! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320162190891
