These started out all black and my brother Rich fixed them for me. The finished product is much brighter. Is ther anything I can put on them to protect them because the aluminum is very soft.

Hi guys, anyone here using LED signal lights on the RSV? I've seen some on other bikes and didn't think they were brighter or near as bright as the OEM incandescent bulbs. If you have LED signal lights on your bike, and believe they are as bright if not brighter than the OEM lights, AND remember the URL to where to find these lights, could you please drop me a line? Thanks in advance. Cheers

I own a 2007 VR and would like brighter headlight and passing lights . Some of my rideing is done late at night (I work 4pm to 12am ) and I don't feel that the stock bulbs are bright enough for me to see all the 4 legged critters , big and small . Would like to know what others have tried and use , would like to get the brightest possible. Don't care if I look like a plane landing on a runway . Just want the light to be bright as possible . I have my passing lights hooked up so that when I turn on my high beams they come on and they are off on low beam . Thanks for any help .

After reading the discussion in other threads about how to make yourself visible I got to thinking about passing lamps. Some of the LED cluster boards that you replace your turn signal and brake light with are very bright and I've noticed the new Audi's have LED daytime running lights that are very visible. So, I started wondering if a LED cluster board retrofitted into a passing lamp would be brighter than existing bulbs? I know they wouldn't be good for lighting the path but they may be more visible. Does anyone make such a thing? Would it be brighter? Dennis

I find that the rear lights are a bit dim... How can I make them brighter?

Thanks to many people on this site, that have helped me put together my bike. I also repainted it while I was at it. I'm not a purist so I wanted to make it yellow. I like yellow and I am pretty big on safety. I never really cared for the fairings with the previous color (maroon) but I like the way the brighter colors pop. I am sure that many people won't like it and that is fine. For those of you that have ever wondered what brighter colors might look like on this body style this might give you an idea. Thanks again to all those that have helped me with my bike. Bob P.S. I bought a duplicate set of fairings for my bike so I had an extra set to work on and paint. I now have a fairly complete set of fairings from an 83 for sale if anyone is interested. Would sell all of it for $250

I have an '08 with about 6800 miles on it. My neutral light stays illuminated all the time...when in "neutral" it is at it's brightest, as I shift up it gets less bright but still keeps some illumination. As I shift down it gets brighter and hits it's max again when I actually put it in neutral. Has anyone else had this problem or can tell me what the problem is?? Thanks...

Canadian Tire has a new product line and I found these for $30 ... halogen 35watt. They look a lot better than the ones I had plus they're brighter. First pic is what I had.

I am wondering if it is possible to take the taillight and add reflective material inside the light housing and if possible would it make the light appear brighter to people following me?? Any thoughts? Don H.

Does anyone know if the factory running lights on the venture (sealed beam) can be updated to a brighter light? I know the halogen can, but the sealed beams are 25 W and i would like to have something brighter... :confused24:

Has anyone changed out or know someone who have changed their rear running/brake light bulb to the brighter so-called halogen bulb? I know they're not really halogen, but they are brighter and slightly hotter. If anyone has, have you seen a degradation of your tail lens? Thanks in advance for your responses!

I just bought my 02 RSV this past December. I am trying to remove the headlamp visor that was installed by the previous owner. Will I have to split the fairing to get to it? My second question is regarding the passing lamps. I have been reviewing this site for the best alternative in making the lights brighter. When I opened the chrome pieces to remove the visors from the passing lamps, the whole bulb/light came out-attached by two wires that are screwed to the back of the passing lamp housing. I don't know whether these passing lamps are OEM or aftermarket. It looks as if I can't replace just the bulb without replacing the whole unit that fits inside of the passing lamp housing. Is there any one that knows a site that sells the whole unit for brighter lighting. I don't think just a H3 bulb will work. Thanks for listening! Cubby

Hello everyone. Got to know that I am going to make the right purchase. I am looking at LED tail light by Radiantz for $60 at http://www.customdynamics.com/Yamaha_tail_retro.htm However at http://motoled.com/shop.html they talk as if that light is not bright enough and they sell the High Flux LEDS for $130.00 that are supposed to be so much brighter. Now maybe they are brighter, however are the Radiantz bright enough? Must say that I really like the lens cover at Motoled. Clear front with red sides. I think that is sharp looking and you can't see the board through the sides. Anyway, also wondering about the turn signals from Radiantz compared to the ones at Motoled. I don't think there are many of you that have had both brands to really compare, however there are a lot of you that have bought the Radiantz and some that may have the Motoled. Do you find that the tail and signal lights are bright enough? Are they brighter than stock? Motoled claims that super bright LEDs are NOT as bright as stock. Of course they may be bias. They do have photo comparisons at the bottom of that page at Motoled. Really looking forward to your opinions. I would like to see a few replies to get different opinions. Thanks guys/gals

The Yamaha passing lamps were already installed on the 05 venture I purchased. I have some questions still after reading previous posts. 1. The lamps have a toggle switch to kill them completely if desired but are on when the high beam light is on and off when low beam is on. My mechanic just told me that this was illegal in VA. Do you run the passing lamps at the same time as the high beam? or Should I rewire them? 2. One of bulbs is burnt out, what is the best replacement bulb? Is there one brighter than stock and where is the best place to get them? Also, is there a brighter alternative to the headlight bulb while I'm at it? 3. Where can I find a spacer for the passing lamps to get them out from the fairing? I followed a link in a previous post and it said none were available via the classifieds. Thanks
