I got an extra trunk for my '99 from the p.o. and I've got a question. Has anyone though of, or attempted to put speakers in the lower sides of the trunk? I've been trying to come up with a way to get some bigger speakers with a little more umph without putting them in the saddlebag lids, I'm thinking just behind the armrests. Haven't done any exact measurements yet, but I think I might be able to get a 6 1/4" in there. My Chevy Equinox has 6 1/4's w/seperate tweeters and I think that setup would give me about what I'm looking for, no window breaking bass, but just a little more thump. I'd probably lose about 4" on each side inside the trunk, but better there than in the bags. Been spending too much time at night thumbing thru Baggers Magazine I guess.

It's been a while since the Houston brethren got together, and it's long over due. What say ye to having a fall MD at our place in Cleveland? Lots of room here, the weather will be breaking in a couple of weeks. So would their be any interest in fixing on some bikes and lots of BSing, and a BBQ? Post up your thoughts and we'll see if we want to set a date or not

While surfing the E-Bay this evening I ran across this tire changer similar to what Harbor Freight used to sell. http://www.ebay.com/itm/pppp-Tire-Changer-for-Motorcycle-GoCart-Trailer-Bike-ATV-Truck-size-4-to-16-5-/310408758673?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4845cdc591 May be just what someone wants & can get without breaking the bank. The floats are too high on my 06 Venture. They measure .280" and I want to adjust to .340". I have searched thru a lot of threads, but have not found how to bend the little tab on the float for adjustment. Would someone please tell me how to do this without breaking something? I would also like to thank everyone involved with the super tech articles that have made life a lot easier for me. Great Job!

The National Weather Service seems to think it will only hit 111 degrees in OKC today. Local stations are predicting breaking the 113 degree record. I only know that I will not be walking on my wood deck in bare feet . . . 169 degrees!

Ok I got the new Bike home and I have a few Questions about the breaking in. It says in the manual not to give it more then 1/3 throttle for the first 600 Miles. Is there a certain speed not to go over? I've put 75 miles on it and I've had it up to 60 is that bad? There's no tach So I guess I can't keep it under certain RPMs. It's a new bike and I don't want to F*** it up by not breaking it in right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Okay. I know my antennas are backwards based on another set of posts I've read. My problem is making the switch. I do not use the CB but at times the reception on the FM is not good and I'm hoping thr switch will help. I have an 04 RSV. I can turn the bottom where everything turns but I can feel what appears to be something turning inside as well so I stopped. Any suggestions on how to do this right? It should be easy but I'm afraid of breaking something. Thanks

I have never had much experience with wobble but I would expect that there are some do's and don't should it happen. Let's just say for the sake of discussion that one is going down the road, say at a nice comfy 60 mph , jacks it up to 75 to pass and wow, it starts wobbling like crazy. I suppose the first thing would be to let off on the gas. How about breaking? Is the an excepted procedure? I ask because years ago I had a blowout, and not a clue what to do, I hit the break, wrong way and wrong time to find out, so I thought I would get the jump on it and ask about wobble.

I like my J & M headsets on my full face Arai helmet with one bothersome exception. It seems the upper cord keeps going kaput. have to replace it more than once. Anybody have an idea of h ow to keep the wires from breaking where the cable joins in at the headset? Those daggone things are expensive.
