Just a post to let anyone who might be interested know I have just two of the black braces left. This isn't a panic emergency notice as I can always put in another order for another 10, but it may take a while, and now that riding season is upon us??? Any rider who hasn't done the mod on their 1st needs to consider it....

Just a heads up. I've been out of fork braces for a couple of months now, but just put in an order for another 10. Only this time around they gonna be anodized black. Thought it would be different... I'll be posting an ad in the classifieds toward the end of next week since I don't know what the cost will be until I get the invoice. I generally want to know about the cost up front, but the machinest has been more than fair with us over the years. So next week.... Attached are a couple of pics of one on my '91 that show what they'll look like installed.

Seeing as I'm caging & trailering to Cody I can bring along some of my products besides what I intend for the raffle. Items would be horn brackets & wiring harnesses, lift adapters- standard & freestanding, crash bar braces, & 1 arm rest set. Prices will be discounted to reflect both savings in shipping and a cash discount for all items. I'll be limited to 4 each of the harnesses and brackets, crash bar braces, adapters, & 1 arm rest set due to what I have available and have room to haul with me. I sold out of the group buy fork braces late last year, but lately a few members have expressed interest in more... so I just ordered another 10 braces and they should be shipped out this Friday. If anyone is interested go to FORK BRACES for pricing and pics. For those newer members that aren't sure what an improved brace will do, they make the forks works together, improving straight line stopping, rough roads, and making it easier to hold a line when cornering. One of the best bang for the buck improvements you can install on your bike. Condor

This is just a note letting those that might be interested??... I've received a couple of PM's from members who didn't get the word about the last of the Fork Braces So.... I just ordered another 10 Braces. They should be here the first or second week of October. Since I didn't want stick my neck out, and order 50 for max discount this time around, the price is going to be a tad more. $67 for the US, and $77US for Canada, and that's shipping included. Still a pretty good deal, and I don't have to sit on big bucks for over a year. That got old quick. So if anyone else wants one and missed out, here's your chance. Way back last year we had a group buy on fork braces. To get the price break I had to buy 50 braces, and ended up only moving 20-25 to the group. Nothing like the first group buy where almost 70 were sold. Since then it's been one here and one there. I have four left with one's that's been spoken for. Only 3 are available. So.... anyone thinking about replacing their OEM brace shoot me a PM. Here's a link to the Classy ad. Once these are gone it's going to be a while before... if ever... there'll be another group buy.

I put an ad in the classified for a new set of Carbon 1 crash bar braces with chrome clamps for $45 shipped. I sold the bike and didn't get them sold. -
I just checked out the Superbrace site and was blown away by the retail price of their 1stGen braces. $143.95. WOW!! I just want to let 1stGen'rs know that I still have group buy fork braces left for $60 bucks. The price just keeps getting better as long as SB keeps raising theirs..... Is it too early to get the scoot ready for spring???

After testing the waters, it looks like another 'Condor' fork brace group buy is in order. I checked with my supplier and we can get the same price as last year's at $50.00 bucks. So it'll be $60.00 total to your front door for those in the US, and $70.00 total for our VentureRider brothers north of the boarder in Canada due to the extra shipping costs. The flat rate shipping cost also covers the paypal fees. The braces will all be shipped via USPS Priority. Pic of the brace is attached. The Group buy has been closed off for some time now, but there's hope. Extra braces are still available and an ad has been posted in the Classifieds under 1stGen Parts. This is a new thread with paypal instructions for submitting your payments. Below is the list we compiled in the last couple of days of those interested in picking up a fork brace for their 1stGen. The price for those in the US is $61.50 delivered, and for those members in Canada the total will be $71.00USD delivered. I'd like to get the majority of the money into the paypal account in the next couple of days before I order the 45+ braces. Those that have already sent their payments in, a big Thank You, and to those that will.... Thank You too. I was fairly confident about hitting 20, but was a little skeptical about getting 40, and we finally hit 45 and it's still growing!!! WOW!! For payments go to www.paypal.com and Enter the email address paypal@cast-aways.com Also enter your board name, and if you'd like black or aluminum. Enter the appropreate amount and don't forget to hit the send button. As stated in the previous thread it makes my life so much easier.... and less confusing If you're new to Paypal let me know and I'll walk you through it, or I can invoice you from this end. When invoiced you'll get two email. One is a 'how to' and the other is the actual invoice. Youse guys are GREAT!!!!! We have a situation that is not going to effect those who have already paid for their braces, but will effect a handfull of members on the list who do not frequent the board all that often. Because of their infrequent visits, using the PM feature isn't effective when trying to contact them, and they also have designated not to accept email in their CP. Therefore I have no way of keeping them aware of what's happening, and if their braces aren't prepaid by the time I place the order, they will not be included.
