Yeah Hello all been awhile since I was here, winters are long and harsh here in Alberta so haven’t done much on my bike since last here. I hate to double post but my last thread was more about an idea to restore my bike via 3D printing here https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?137341-3d-printing-replacement-fairing-and-parts&p=1045382#post1045382. Anyway that idea hasn’t panned out well and now I can’t even get my printer going so I decided to go another route. It’s been a slow process as I am still learning a lot but I hope to be up and running soon, I decided to come in here and share with you guys in stead of raging out after snapping my clutch level off in a poor attempt to straighten it sigh... here is a photo of the add I purchased this bike for $250 CAD it did come with the bags and I was planning to keep them however they were in fairly ruff shape. here I begin tear down some of these pics were on other thread but felt i should put them all together as you can see it was in pretty bad shape This is where I attempt to repair the fairing But they were just so bad and it was my first attempt at body work For got how to edit on this site lol been kinda of a relearning period so bear with me lol, any way this is that clutch lever I damaged trying to straighten sigh... This is the damaged sifter I have yet to repair This is How im securing my tail lights at the momemt this is temporary as budget permits I may swap out this entire rear end changing the rear fender etc some more photos showing some cable management etc Test fitting of the headlight test fitting of the new side Panels (I may replace these as well but this gets me on the road this summer Well Im all caught up now I think Till I get back out the the shop and finish assembly

I have A 1983 venture royale. Bike was knocked over before I got it runs good but all the plastic is destroyed so I've decided to make a bobber. But I absolutely hate the bars that are on it. And I can't seem to locate a proper fitting top triple tree or a bracket to mount different bars on it. Also looking for some ideas for a forward control mod before I just go ham fabricating a set up for it. Thank you all in advance and if there is already a thread for this please drop a link and I'll look there. -
good day people, does anyone here know what exhaust system I can use from the bike yard the will fit 97 royal star tour deluxe and run down one side of the bike? Every bone yard I ask say they have no idea. I'm not having any luck finding what fits what . I'm not so good on the PC so I might not be asking the right question. I want to pull the bags but it looks like crap cause the exhaust system is attached to the same hagers as the bags. I found a site that sells a kit for V-Star 1100 but I don't know enough if the have the same frame size or the diameter of pipes. I love the look of the back end of my bike. I'm thinking bobber back end and factory front end with a modified batwing type something up front. Any ideas of web sites or anything really. thanks

I wreck my 83. I will be down for about a year. Got to have rods and screws put in my right leg. Got stiches in my chest and upper arm. My face looks like Mike Tyson hit me a few times. Road rash every where. I have not look at the bike yet but was told its banged up good. I wanting to know if anyone here has ever seen are made a bobber out of a venture bike?

I just wanted to take a minute to say HI to Y'all, it's been awhile since I've even had time to check email, let alone read all the good info on here..... working 60-100 miles from the house eats up my downtime. hoping to get some carb parts to get the 'ol couch up on the road soon, before monsoon season makes riding miserable:fingers-crossed-emo.......My bobber FINALLY passed emisions, now I get to dial the carbs back in so it'll run right.... any how I'm off to do errands again.......

Can't really think of a place for this, but I've got a 86VR, a 05 RSTD and a 80 xs650 bobber, (work in progress) So, I'm thinking that I really don't need two BIG bikes, so I might just as well get a 650 dual purpose bike. It seems like a nice combination to me: 05 RSTD (go anywhere bike) xs 650 Bobber (fun little hot rod) and a dual purpose bike, (maybe go to work, the woods, just blast around) Of course this means the 86 VR has got to go. One last thing, money is an object. What do you all think? Steve
