Went to a pretty cool event tonight, Full Throttle Ministries, Blessing of the Biker's night. This was there. A biker's last ride:

Was invited to a church sponsored event tonight. It was put on by Full Throttle Ministries. They have a yearly "Blessing of the Biker's" event. The Pastor rides and has the Full Throttle Ministries outreach from their church. After everybody gets there, and there had to be 400+ bikes, we lined up 3 abreast and they had three Pastors that prayed over each bike and rider(s). Pretty cool full blown event.

Saw a couple Ventures yesterday, we went over and walked around, but blessing is today. Forgot the camera too but today its first thing Im grabbing. Estimated to be about 30 000 biikes there today. Also met a fella that is trying to tell me he found 3 Millinium's all with the number 761, so that there were multiple numbers made of all. I told him about our list and said I didnt believe it. Anyone headed out there today? maybe we'll see ya there. Baldwin Michigan

Great gathering in Gautier last Saturday for the yearly CMA sponsored 'Blessing of the Bikes' Local media estimated about 1000 bikes showed up. I counted 5 other Ventures in the crowd. Sadly wasn't able to find the owners before they rode off. On a side note the local multi brand stealership has a new 2010 Venture on the floor listing at $19,600.00 Only difference I see is the flame decals on the fairing, tank,bags. Anyone in the area interested, we're doing a ride to Camp Shelby (Hattiesburg) Armed Forces Museum tomorrow, 3/27. Will be there about 1030 or so.

HI, I need a little help. I am considering a 1984 1200 Venture. It has about 70,000 kms or about 50,000 miles. The problem is 2nd gear. the owner, who was up front thankfully, said that when she rides it, She goes to shift to second gear and it jumps out. She simply shifts from 1st to 3rd. I am assuming the shift fork may be bent??? Any help would be a blessing I remember the old 1100 Maxims having a second gear issue/. Can this be fixed or does the entire engine need to come out? The person wants $1900.oo Merry Christmas Scott Canada

Baldwin, MI. Blessing of the Bikes, 15-17 May, 2009. Not promoting this event but have done a Google Search and of course they say 30,000 to 40,000 Bikes and hundreds of vendors (True?). Has anyone been there? Any VentureRider.Org members going in 2009?
