Best thing since sliced bread. Took longer to installed the bleeders then to do the job. Here are a couple pics of how bad my master clutch looked like. Ended up having to use paper towels and Q-tips to clean the sludge out of there. the speed bleeders made this so easy to do. It also helps if your remove the number one cyl fin to replace the bleeder. Last change was seven years ago. (way to long) With the speed bleeders I will change once a year from now on. I see there are several brands of Speed Bleeders out there. Is there one brand that is recommended over all the others or are they pretty much the same. Thanks

Howdy to all and thanks in advance for any help you can give me. I bought a 90 Royale with 11k on it last Memorial Day,with the idea I would take a couple trips on it and make a few thousand on it selling it. By the 2nd day riding it I was hooked. What a nice piece of machinery. Since I'm never going to sell it (it's like brand new) I figured I better learn how to work on it. I've spent quite a few hours studying on this sight and found it to be a great resource. My first question is: speed bleeders vs vacuum pump. I've found posts on here in favor of both. My rear brake peddle feels plenty firm but doesn't work as well as my other bikes and there's plenty of pad left. I'm guessing bleeding is the place to start. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

I'm looking to change my brake and clutch fluids soon. I've been reading about the "Speed Bleeders" and another bleeder called the "Motion Pro Hydraulic Brake Bleeder". My question is; has anyone here actually used the Motion Pro? I'm a little more interested in the Motion Pro over the Speed Bleeders because it appears that you only need one and just move it to the brake you're bleeding at the time. Does anyone here know if that's how this works? J&P Cycles has the motion Pro for $19.99. Thanks Guys

OK after struggling for days trying to get my new brake system primed and bled, I broke down and bought a Mighty Vac. A couple of squeezes and fluid was a flowin'!! Once the system was primed I was able to finish the job with the speed bleeders, and finally, I have brakes again!!!:sign woo hoo:

Anybody know what size speed bleeders are used for the RSTD or Ventures 2nd Gens? Dan, I called company and their not sure of size of bleeders. Got to call them back.

I'm looking to order a set of speed bleeders for my 2nd Gen. Is the clutch bleed screw the same size as the brake bleed screws? And are the brake bleed screws M8X1.25"? I could, I suppose, pull them and compare them but I would like to only have to pull them once...this winter:)

I had remembered some time ago folks talking about Speed Bleeders. Well I'm here to tell you that I put some in my '99 and had my rear brake fluid completely swapped with fresh fluid in less than 5 minutes. I installed one on my clutch and had it bled in about the same time. If your thinking about getting these, dont wait, they work fantastic! I did it by myself and it was so easy it's stupid I would highly recommend this product http://www.speedbleeder.com/

I am having trouble with bleeding the front brakes on my wife's 2005 V-Star classic. I replaced the upper brake hose. The one from the master res. on the handle bar to the splitter. Neither of the banjo's are leaking. I replaced the fluid till it ran clear through both caliper bleeders. Now the fluid runs clear but the lever still has no back pressure. It just travels right to the handle bar. Its almost as if the piston in the master cly. is not full, and yet it pushes the fluid out the bleeders. Any suggestion would be greatly appeciated. Wayne
