Hello, Everyone! I spoke with Jeff this morning and he asked me to post a Note on the Forum to let everyone know that he and Margaret and everyone else in the area are doing fine after the storm. They are without electricity, as the utility turned it off yesterday morning around 9 AM, but they do have a generator. They have no land line phone and no internet, hence the request for me to give you an update. BlackJack

Under the category...believe it or not...I have photographic proof of Blackjack on a second generation:smile5:. At least it was a midnight. So now it can't be denied. Actually, he was in Augusta to do a big favor for Pastor Paul. His bike needs to be at maintenance day and he is still recuperating from his surgery. Blackjack picked it up and rode it back home in preparation to bring it up to Steve's in a few weeks.

I am a little late in posting this; I guess because I don't know how to handle not taking a lot of pictures at the Barber's Motorsports Park Meet and Eat. It was rainy while we were there, so I didn't take my camera. But we met Pick and Redbeard at Cracker Barrell Saturday morning. Then Blackjack and Randyr joined us there for breakfast. One of our stops, I found some Blackjack gum for Blackjack! I think he liked it!!!! Pick and Redeard were unable to come with us because of a prior commitment so off we went to Birmingham. The vintage show was great; there were a lot of vendors with a LOT of old parts and some really neat old bikes! We got to watch old vintage bike races and unfortunately while we were there, three bikes crashed, all in the same area. The slick track may have had something to do with it. The riders appeared to be alright, except one walked to the ambulance. We had the fun of watching stunts on the Wall of Death - I have attached a clip of one that I found, (its not the same group we saw), but it will give you an idea of what they do! They had go carts going around as well! Really cool! [ame=http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1425957770881170950]Wall of Death Motorcycle Stunt[/ame]# We rode around the park on the tram and then it was time to meet my daughter Jacque at the Bass Pro Shop right next door! Wow, that is a really cool store (I have never been in one!)!!!! We left there to eat at Jim N Nicks in Trussville and enjoyed some really great BBQ!!! Great company, great time by all!!!

Mechanic and I went to Huntsville AL for the Easter weekend. Stop in Atlanta Friday morning and had breakfast with BlackJack. Was great seeing you BlackJack, we will be there next Saturday too. Then had breakfast Saturday with the Huntsville area Venture rider gang. Mechanic said I could go play with the boys. Oh boy, didnt get back until around 3pm Was great meeting and riding with the gang through Tennessee and Alabama. Tried to talk them into going to rescue the 2nd gens castration party, but no takers. Bet if we knew about them RIBS earlier, we would have made it. This was a great ride, no rain, tempatures were just right. http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20Alabama%20ME%2020080322/ Oh, since the Mechanic was not there to take pics on the ride with the Alabama gang, you all will have to make do with my pics. :rasberry:

What a wonderful time we had this weekend with our family! For those coming in Friday night, they ran into a lot of rain, but after a foggy start on Saturday morning, the day turned out to be beautiful!! We had a great turn-out - with a total of 24 people, 14 bikes and 2 vehicles! Those attending were: Sleeperhawk and me (Bobbie) – SC Dave38x (Dave) - SC Kit Carson (Kit and Sandy) – SC Bildar (Bill) - SC Riderduke (David) – VA Nkbjones (Nate) and Baxter – VA Muffinman (Jeff) – NC Mini-Muffin (Margaret) - NC Beer30 (Gene) and Beer 24/7 (Becky) – NC Tim261 (Tim) - NC dexl1200 – (Dave and Kathy) – FL Doug and Lolita Curry - FL 86er (Todd) – GA Gray Ghost (Cliff and Elizabeth)- GA Blackjack (Tery) - GA Tazmocycle (Don) - AL GRl-Str (Susan) - AL Hugabare did not make it and YamaGeezer had to work at the last minute so they did not make it - hopefully next time! Texas Roadhouse will never be the same again - it was a free for all with the peanut throwing and Sleeperhawk being tied up, I mean tied to his chair by Riderduke!!! We won't elaborate on that!!! After taking the long way to our home, everyone had dessert. MiniMuffin brought her famous pumpkin apple spice bread and sweet potato pie which added to what I had of 2 apple pies, 2 cherry pies, 1 blueberry pie, 1 pecan pie, banana cake, lemon bars, cream cheese bars, chocolate cupcakes, spice cupcakes, brownies, cookies, cat-eyes, along with dips, chips, cheese and meat trays, and pickle tray, there was enough for everyone! There was plenty of room in the bunkhouse, just a lot of snoring going on! Next time, bring in the ear plugs from the bike! Sunday morning, our builder catered breakfast for everyone here so all left with a full tummy. After all but Blackjack and 86er left, we all went for a ride to DQ and Blackjack and 86er went on home. It would not be a meet and eat without DQ! I ended up with 618 pictures and will upload those later! Once again, we enjoyed the Meet and Eat and look forward to seeing everyone again! Thanks to all who came! Ride safe, Bobbie
