I am looking for a tank bib for the RSV. Does anyone have one they want to sell? I'd prefer one with the detachable pouch but all others will be considered.

Hi you guys! I've gotten to know several of you and I can only say THANKS! for spreading good cheer about my work. A friend who owns a Midnight RSV asked me to incorporate his wood grain trim gas tank piece into a bib. We came up with something that surprised me with its simplicity and usefulness as he wanted a VERY small pocket at the bottom to hide his heating gear wire. It looks very cool:cool10: I'm not good with photos on this site so please take a look at the Ace High Leathers Facebook page if you want to see what it looks like; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ace-High-Leathers/164529240257266 Keep in mind that you can do close to the same thing with your Yamaha leather bib, just remember to clean the leather well before you stick it on and cut it with a pair of sharp scissors if need be. Thank you Dan S for the idea! Ride Safe, Nanci, Ace High Leathers

OK...I'm gonna post my new bib (very similar to my first one)...and the new gas cap. These gas caps are GREAT as a decorative item and even better in use for limiting GLARE off the gas cap and also giving you a place to put your gas cap when filling up. These are a combination of regular pictures and iPhone pics.

Has anyone put a fender bib on your Tour Deluxe? If so, do you like it?

I ordered a hopnel tank bib and when it arrived I tried to install it and the gas filler hole was to small and was cut about 3/4" to low for the filler opening. What is happening with this product as I have seen other people with the same problem on this site. I sent a email to the company yesterday that I purchased it from but haven't heard from them yet. How many have had this problem, are these still made by Hopnel or is it a different company????

Well some of you may remember I got pillowtops for my MM. I sprayed them tan to match my MM as my original seats were tan. Well they looked great but the more you rode the more they cracked and the tan paint started flaking off. Even though the paint was specifically made for auto seats and dashes. So I started looking for someone who would re-due the pillowtops in tan. I could not find anyone who would mess with redoing the pillowtops. So I got Dorsi of Burney's Uphostlery in McDonough, Ga. 706-819-8580 to re-due the pillowtop seats by removing the pillowtop portion, redoing the Ultima backrest, the passenger seat and the passenger backrest AND making me a tank bib AND a trunk bib. Now the interesting part of this is Dorsi has never redone a Venture seat before and Dorsi had never made any tank bib or trunk bib before. So feast your eyes on Dorsi's first Venture job. I am very very happy with it!:thumbsup2:

Does anyone know where I can get a hopnel tank bib with the pouch for my 2004 midnite venture. I had one before that was braided in the centre and along the outside edges. The ones I see now all have the braid on the outside edges but not in the middle, the middle is plain.

OK...since I have began to REALLY enjoy and like this bike, I have been "making it my own". In the recent weeks I have added some leather fringe, electric gloves (Gerbings), changed out the Tank Bib a couple of times (see pics) and added a Gas Cap cover (yep-covering up that chrome). The leather Tank Bib and Gas Cap cover were done by a lady that rides a Tour Deluxe and I think is a member here...but not sure about that. Anyway, she made me a fancy tank bib, but I also wanted a plain black one (which is what this one is). She does VERY GOOD work also. Windshield is next...I am getting the F4 Customs shield. I just wanted to share some of this with the members here. Wally

There is a Hopnel tank bib for the RSV on ebay. Its "sold" by big bike parts. I need this item but it wouldnt arrive in time before we leave for Potato Creek. Actually there are several available through various sites once I googled them. Is anyone willing to buy the thing for me, take it to Potato Creek and I would pick it up there and hand over the cash. Its around 55 bucks. Thanks

I always liked the MM edition seats so I colored my own. The rest and rear seat are still in process as well as the Hopnel tank bib. I think it really makes a midnight look great.

Sometimes (but not aways) I have a hard time getting the gas cap off my 99 RSV. I have to turn the key and then try to grip the cap with the other hand while turning the key to get it to release. The bib around the opening seems to keep the cap from going down all the way, but not sure. Any ideas would be helpful.

Hello everyone, I'm looking to install a tank Tux bib or Tie. Does anyone know where I can get a nice one? Does it rub the paint finish on the tank? Also, is it difficult to install? Thanks for you help. I'm riding with the 1700 bikes this week for the moving veterans wall in Beaver Pa and I would like to have it by then!

I have an 08 RSV and was wondering if anyone ever had any success removing the tank bib that comes with the bike? I am getting a custom paint job done and would like to remove the bib. Any help or advice will be appreciated.

Well I ordered a tank bib from "Talisman Leather products" in Canada. Good people to work with and the product is well made. $105. CDN / $92.95 U.S. for studded. Got it put on but had to remove both cable holders for it to fit proper. After that I just did not care for the cable being put back on the tank with the little rubber holders. I got with my sister and this is what we came up with. I could not have done it without her. She works with leather a little but this was her first attempt at something like this. I have the little rubber holder put on with two sided tape. What ya think? Have a great 4th of JULY.

I have the Hopnel tank bib and trunk bib on my '99 but I have something else in mind and would like to match that fabric. It is a basket weave vinyl material. Do any of you know where I might be able to find some of it?
