Beth and I made it home about an hour and half ago. Safe trip home and a good ride with Walter and Betty. Had a great time at Vogel and was great seeing everyone. Thanks again to Lewis and Charlene for all they do with this event and St. Judes.

Randy and Beth showed up on our door step at 8:30 this morning just as I was having a medical issue and they helped me get to the couch before I fell flat on my face. Talk about good timing. Mary called EMS and I got to spend the day in emergency. They really couldn't find anything wrong and I'm feeling better now. Had a rough weekend on and off and I guess it might have been some kind of virus or something. Mary thinks I'm getting cold feet but I got to say my whole body has been freezing. Anyway, if there's a merit badge for good deeds please give one to Randy and Beth.

Beth and I both have J+M headsets for our half helmets. I forget the model #, but they install by slipping them in between the liner and the shell of the helmet. This year we installed the mic-mutes, and I love them. We have the show krome windshield on the bike, so Beth experiences quite a bit of buffeting and wind noise. The speakers cover our ears very well, and we both experience some heat issues and are generally not happy with the speaker quality. So, to get to my question... Can I adapt a set of ear buds to replace the speakers? If so...how do I do it? By doing so, we can rid ourselves of the heat issue in the warm weather...(we really noticed it on our last vacation ride to Texas), and improve the sound quality at the same time. I'm a novice at this type of retro fitting...so some very plain instructions would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance. gunk:hurts:

We been looking for a deal on a timeout camper for a while. Think I found one in Arkansas. It's one year old and camped in one time, Beth and I are going tommorw to look at it.

My thanks to Ponch and Monty...or Monty and Ponch, either which way. These two guys took the time to install the gauge package on our bike yesterday at MD in the heat.....and doing so cuts into their time to wander around and do other MD things. Words can't express how much that means to me. The gauges look AWESOME, they work AWESOME, and Beth has said how much she likes them and how GREAT they look. Thanks again to two of the best.....Monty and Ponch, or Ponch and Monty, you will not be forgotten! gunk and beth:Laugh:

Well on the way to St. Charles thru Ar. Thursday the wife and I had a spill on the bike in a gravel parking lot in Mo. The gravel was the crushed rock type gray in color and looked to be packed good and I made the turn in ok and was headed straight to the other side when it slide to the right and I thought I had it recovered when all of a sudden it sliped to the left and down we went rather hard. Beth wasn't hurt, but I imediatley felt pain in my right ankle and was able to pull my leg out. So I thought I just sprained it. We made it on in, which was 89 miles out from St. Charles, and got checked in to the motel. It began hurting pretty bad and I was able to stop with the weight on the left leg. Got into the room, took boot off and iced it and the swelling went down but the pain intensified to the point I could put no wheight on it. So we decided to call my son and he and his brother came with his trailer and took us back to La. We made it home this morning about 8am and Beth had no sleep, so she napped till after noon and took me to the local hospital. Well it is broke just above the ankle joint on the small bone ( fibula ) in a spiral break. It is in place and the ER doc said see an orthapedic which would probably just put it in a walking boot cast. The pain has gotten better but I still can't put any wheight on it So with a ruined weekend with friends I am now back home and won't be rideing for a while. At least it will be healed in time for the next event. Bill came and got me for breakfast friday morning so I did get to see old friends and some new ones. Thanks to those who came by the room an visited and offered help. I know each one of you would have gone out of your way and we appreciate it.

We had a couple vist us Friday. Meandog and his wife Nancy came by and spent the afternoon with Beth and I. We had a great visit. Beth cooked, with her one arm, some crawfish pie and fried chiken, so we ate lunch and visited the rest of the afternoon. So glad they came, it was great seeing them.
