It appears that Wagner is temp on hold until Sept 1, for taking more orders on his Radiator Grill covers. They look great, but can't order one right now. I am NOT into chrome, but want to protect my radiator, so...I made one myself today, and it cost me less than $ 13.00, including tax. Okay, this thread is no good without pictures. Yes, I know that. My question is...other than the Wagner Grill cover, and the chrome one from Diamond, are there any other radiator grill covers out there already available for the Venture/RSTD ??? I am happy with the one I made, but want to check out others. Secondly, does anyone already make a Belly Pan for the Venture/RSTD ??? I was so used to having one on each of my last 5 Goldwings (2 1500's and 3 1800's) that I would like to put one on my RSMTD. I can see that the oil filter and engine cases could really use some protection. I did go to the extent of attempting to fabricate one for myself today, but I was not pleased with the final product. I will continue to research and fabricate, and my end prodcut will be vented via stamped louvers. So, if anyone has info on already made Belly Pans for our bikes, please let me know. Miles

And so it happened,,,,, Scamper, that trusty steed, knowing that she was to travel for a long ways this weekend, and that her master was going to fully depend on all her resources and expertise, and that the conditions might not always be as desired, she thought it best to lay down for a much needed rest,,,, trouble is, that at her age she laid down a little faster than what she might have planned and broke one of her wings,,,, ya, sad but true, but I did remind her that at the far end of our journey there would be a brand new one waiting for her. She was feeling so sad about her injury that she even lowered her eyes,,,, poor girl, I felt so sorry for her laying there, showing her under belly,, not often some one gets to see that side of her, she was glad it was only me and her together. Actually: Got her up on the floor jack, and then played with the kick stand,,, decided to lower her to the floor again, and thought the KS was down,,, until I felt that she started to lean a bit further than normal, and then further than further and then???????????????????? Donation time and a new wing,,,, there goes another $30.

Dianne took off for a long weekend with girlfriends. so im just relaxing. i have a nurse who stops in mon-friday. pre cooked food just pop in the micro. and im good to go. belly is still sore and will be for a few months to come. i have to watch out for seeds and stuff that i eat. sometimes if i move wrong it feels like a texas mule kicked me. so i sit with ice pack on the big belly. im going to see about selling the venture waiting on loan officers aproval dont worry im still staying here. im just looking at a replacement next spring. the first gens are great. but hard to get parts and i cant wrench no more . so im thinking of going down to a cruise bike. 650cc up to a 900cc . low and easy to operate. im sure something will pop up then? if the money comes in i will look for one in the winter. cheaper maybe? i know it wont be a venture but i will still be a venture member well pain meds are kicking in. so off to the recliner. i cant sit much in this computer chair. many many many thanks to you all sincerly oldgoat

Here are a couple of pics with an AMBER Crystal on the rear of the blinker housing with a Amber LED on it's own stuck into it. wired off the Custom Dynamics Led Cluster. I had all this attached to a 12 volt power source in my den with an extra blinker housing that I had to experiment with. and to show better pictures of it turned on. SUPER BRIGHT. I used the advice from human4m on the other project I was working on and he suggested to use FENDER JEWEL's for an amp , the cost was $2.99 each. and about the same size as the red one's from Radio Shack. And no my belly is not that large , it is the reflection off the rounded domed chrome housing it does look like a huge beer belly though. Here is the Original Link for the Radio Shack Mod. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45100 NOTE: I did use the black threaded ring off the Radio Shack light, and had to enlarge the hole I already had just a small amount.
