Have a 87 royal and am having some head light problems. The light will come on sometimes, and other times won't turn on. All i have done is check the light plug on the back of the head light. When it works, i have power, but when it doesn't work, i don't have any power. DUH. When the light works, i have high and low beams. Where do i start on this problem? Thanks Aaron

Hi all. I put a set of Yamaha passing lamps on my 06 RSTD about 3 weeks ago. I have been running with them on all the time in hopes of being more visable on the road. Twice, during daylight hours, I have had cars flash their high beams at me. I believe they think my passing lamps are my high beam lights and I mistakenly have left them on. Do you folks with these lamps leave them on all the time? If so what reactions have you experianced.

Hello all, I was riding tonight when some &$%!!## stopped dead in front of me and the person I was riding with and pulled slightly to the side of the road. At a stop light a half mile ahead we were turning left, the putz in the car pulled up beside me to go right and said "your high beams are on". When I told him they were not (showed him) he said they were too bright and in his eyes. Yeah, he stopped in front of me because he does not know how to flip up his mirrors and no, I wasn't really happy about that and kindly let him know it. Even though I felt bad that I may be blinding someone with my Silverstar bulb it wasn’t worthy of a possible death sentence. And no, I didn’t do the typical freak out thing, while he might not like bikers I didn’t want to fuel the fire. When I got home I checked to see what the official "correct" headlight height was for where I live (SE PA). I can't find it. Fog lights yeah, the big shiny light – nah. So I looked on line. Ooookay… 17’, 20’, 25’ – the only thing people seemed to agree on was “measure to the center of your headlight and then down two inches” for where the low beams are supposed to be. It seems pretty elementary to have a measurement for the headlight – can anyone help me here with the “official” way to aim a headlight? Thanks, gp

Was out for a nice midnight ride last night. The weather was PERFECT. I rode about 200 miles around the old country roads. I noticed that in the dark, with the hight beams on, the dash lights are darn near blinding. I have got to do something to mute those lights. Any suggestions?

I am installing passing lights. Does anyone know what the law is in Ontario Canada with regards to when they can be on. Ie; with hi beams on, low beams on or all the time. I would prefer all the time but dont want to get a ticket. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jim

Hey All. I've been looking for a pair of passing lamp sealed beams in Halogen to replace the incandescent beams on my '06 RSV. All I can find are 55 watt beams and I'd like to find something in a lower wattage to ease the strain on the stator and yet get more light than I'm getting right now. I'd like beams that will fit the factory Yamaha light buckets. Is this possible or am I looking for something that doesn't exist. Thanks in advance Rod.
