For the most part, my job is pretty slack-a$$'d .... I have the luxury of sitting around monitoring the network environment, swapping backup tapes, posting daily transactions, assisting users occasionally .... I basically can go days..sometimes weeks without even coming close to putting in a full day's work. Life is tough!! LOL That will all change in 2 weeks. I've just ordered 3 new servers running Win 2008 to replace 3 old servers, 6 new printers, and a new 1 Terrabyte backup device (actually 5 of them for swapping off-site). Looks like my slack-off time has come to an end... at least for a while ... Actually, it's a good thing coz a guy can get real bored and that seems to wear me out more than anything. The down side is, I won't have as much time to post so many snyde remarks on here LOL

Do you have a backup heat source? Our furnace run most of the night keeping the house at 70 degrees. It was -5F here this morning. I'm going to buy a vent less NG space heater as a backup source of heat. 99.9% efficiency is not bad. Several of my neighbors run them as a main source of heat and there very popular as a garage heater. I just got to keep the batteries up in my carbon monoxide detector but not sure how much of a problem cm will be. Lowes just dropped the price on them again. $209 is not bad for a 30Kbtu unit. I might get a LP model for the camp to.Our old furnace is 30 years old.Nothing like working on one in the middle of winter. I had the blower go out one winter, lost the gas valve, and the 24 volt transformer that activates it. Also the termal coupler seems to go out when the local hardware store is closed. The wind blows the pilot light out about once a week.I might have to replace that furnace before long.

Just a note to let you all know that I am getting ready to do a final backup of the site. Any messages posted from the time that I do the backup until we go live with the new server, hopefully early tomorrow morning, will be lost. So if you have anything important to say or ask, you might want to wait until tomorrow.
