Figured there was no sense joining yet another forum. All the smart folks are here. Got a 2003 Honda Recon atv. One of the headlight is very dim. Is it most likely just need a new bulb or is that light not getting enough voltage. No, I have not yet swapped bulbs to check, so maybe I should not even be posting this yet.

how can I tell if my atv is in need of a major redo ? I own a 97 honda 300 fourtrax. Cranks and runs good but seems that it is loosing a little power.Alos when I crank it iif it has been a couple of dayssince the last frie up it will 4smoke blue four a few seconds. LOnger if its set longer since it was run. Im not a mechanic so anyhting that I can check with simple tools will be appreciated. When I first got it it was extremely cold natured and was hard to start. A couple of tanks dosed with seafome stopped that. Any help would be apreciated David Ps. If there are any atv mechanics close by and willing to help Ill pay.

I'm not familiar with ATV's (4 wheeler), so I've been looking to buy a used ATV, but would like to know from an owners experience what the best bang for the buck is. I'm looking for something between 400-650cc for trails, for cruising along on a frozen lake, general use, etc... Preferably a 4 wheel drive, locking front axle and still hopefully light enough to pull out of a bog. Maybe around 2-4k? What makes, years, models, mileage, etc should I stay away from? Any thoughts / guidance would be appreciated. Thanks,

I'm sure some of you have a ATV and more knowledge than I do. I have always wanted to small tractor with a bucket however I just can't justify it. So after this last snow storm we saw a ATV with a plow on it on a trailer. Just wondering how they do pushing snow? With all the models does anyone have any neat web sites that explain which models are 4x4 and which modles are sport ATV's? When I do searches some are just 2 wheel drive or they are a sport ATV when I'm looking for an utility ATV and 4 wheel drive. Any info is appreciated? Also, anyone have a Wildfire brand? Thanks. In my younger days, I spent many a night sleeping on the ground under a tarp thrown over my motorcycle. Always said that I needed to design a tent that I could just drive the scoot into. Well, someone has finally done it. http://domsoutdoor.com/default.asp?sid=E092206&eid=E092206&eicioi=6742 (select tents) While the ATV shelter needs a few improvements, it may be just the ticket for the venture camper...........
