I've had a lot of members calling me and telling me that they are comming to my rally this year and that is great...but, members are not signing up on the calendar...if you are attending or think you are attending , please sign up so I can get a more accurate food count.. I hate to run out of food or drinks.....also, if you are attending the train ride on Sunday please let us know so that we can get a group rate and reserve seats....Last year we had about seventy attend...this year we have only 25 or so sign up...I know this number is way off....please help me make this event another success as in past years by signing up if you plan to attend....thanks everyone....

Our area at the Michigan meet&Eat at Maxie's will have it's own pool table. So I will have a trophy made up and we will have a single elimination pool tournament. Does NOT matter if you ever played before of not, smack them balls and see where they land. Winner gets a trophy and bragging rights. Now as far as letting me know who is attending or not. The only reason I wanted a number of people attending is for the special menu. Mike Abraham is a gourmet cook and I wanted some of his razzle dazzle specialize creations to tantalize your taste buds. BUT if the comment number is low I will have him make up a simple menu. Does not matter if you say you are attending of not, last minute attendees are welcome. Now I'm going all out on this to make it the best M&E I can so hope all you can make it. Hoping to make it an annual thing. See you all on the 15th....Karl:fatsmiley: Updates on Hotel rates soon.

One more call for riders attending Sturgis 2010: I will be heading to the Black Hills in a couple of days...Planning on leaving Amarillo Thursday morning, the 5th of August. I'm riding with a couple friends, but the more the merrier. We plan on making it to Cheyenne WY by Thursday night. Expecting to arrive at Glencoe Campground Friday afternoon or evening. Anyone else attending? We could get together for a meet-n-eat or a beer somewhere...I plan on staying in South Dakota until sometime the following Friday or Saturday. Let me know! You can reply here but in a couple days, you can text or call me at 806-252-1743, since I will be on the road. The cell will of course be in the saddlebag, so just leave a message.

Folks, it's getting down to the wire, and to date there have only been 18 people registered for the rally. A lot of work has gone into this by Cupcake (Damn, don't think I'll ever get used to that), Leadwolf and a lot of others to put this event together. So, if you are planning on attending, PLEASE get you registration in soon.

As much as I might like to send all of you some extra cash for the holidays, well, that's just not going to happen. In lieu of cash, I offer you instead Buy One Get One Blizzard coupons (6 per year!) that you can share when attending M&Es and Rallies with your Forum Family and Friends. Just click on the link below and get signed up: http://tinyurl.com/bogo-blizzards Happy Holidays! TERRY

Im going to put up a poll here. This poll is for people who are going to attend the rally but havent registered yet......or who are not attending but are going to order t-shirts or patches if you have already registered or ordered please dont answer this poll.... please bear with me here as my plate may get extremely full just before the rally. As most of you know about our ordeal and court case..trial is scheduled for July 20 th . There will be no more continuances im sure.......and unless something happens with a plea bargain we will be tied up with a trial for a few days and extremely stressed. there fore i am asking those who will be attending but havent registered to please answer this poll so i can get a better count idea for patches, shirts, dinner, etc. I would like to get the patches ordered and really would like to know if i need more than 100 so as to save on the cost of them. I appreciate all your help on this. Please note that I am not going to hold u to this...if something happens and u cant attend or order...this is just to get a better idea of the counts i need to order.

We have decided to open up the raffle for St Judes for the 2 one of a kind belt buckles we posted about previously. The reasoning behind this is to raise more funds for St Judes. Those not attending will now be able to purchase/donate to raffle tickets for it..... 1 for $5 or 3 for $10 ONLY those NOT attending the rally will be able to do this thru paypal. anyone attending the rally who wishes to get in on this raffle will need to get their tickets at the rally. The reason for this is to not make a whole lot of more record keeping work for us. You can send payment to vrrally2009@yahoo.com and please in the notes or comments section of your payment put your site name and that this is for st judes . We will have a cut off date of July 29th for these ... here is the info on the belt buckles... [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=38305]2009 rally st. jude raffle - VentureRider.Org[/ame] www.exoticstainlesssteel.com and sleeperhawk i expect to see you as the first to purchase...... and remember all funds collected for this raffle will go to St Judes

Well, finally added some pictures of my (new) Royal Star Tour Classic II 1998 that I bought in June from a very nice gentleman in Woodstock New York. Same year, model and color as the one I have back here in Iceland. Will be coming to Don´s Maintenance Day next spring to ride the bike and meet all you great people attending this website. Like I told Mini-Muffin the other day - This is a community of the greates biker people in the USA and couple of other countrys and I am proud and honored to be a member. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

The St. Jude/Mean Dog Memorial Ride is just a little over a month away. According to the poll it looks like we have 13 bikes planning to attend. I know some others have inquired about the ride but havent seen their votes on the poll. I will be contacting St. Jude next week to set up the appointment and I need to give them a number of how many people will be attending so they can arrange tour guides. So, please if you plan on attending please let me know by the end of next week so we dont show up with a large group they arent expecting and not be able to accomodate us, If you are new to the group and have never attended one of our gatherings, this is the perfect time to do so, you get to meet some really fine members and help the kids at St. Jude at the same time. Here are the links to all the threads about this fundraiser and ride. Inked for St Judes - VentureRider.Org Flying J , West Memphis, Ark...... - VentureRider.Org Mean Dog Memorial

I happened to come up with a new "smilie" that made me think of Black Owl. Here is one that he can use to indicate he is attending one of our meets.

For those of you who were not able to attend Freebird's Maintenance Day, here are some reasons to plan on attending next year. Top 10 Reasons for Attending Maintenance Day! 10. You get to see the Pond Monsters! 9. You get to eat Lonna's cheesecake! 8. You get to meet Lowell actually off of his bike. 7. You could ask Squidley to drill out your pipes. 6. You could buy a 80/20 raffles ticket from Stardbog! 5. You could camp in Freebird.s front yard and hope the Bullfrogs, eventually let you go to sleep, shortly before the crazed rooster wakes you up! 4. You can learn of the benefits of safety chrome and how to use it properly. 3. You can watch the lawn mower races with Eileen taking the lead and also just about everything in her path. 2. You will be able to put faces with the site names and then more than likely immediately forget them all. But the Number One Reason for going to Maintenance Day Is.............. You get to Meet Freebird, Eileen and Dylan and know what a great group of people we have in our family. So plan to come next year, you will not be sorry. Yama Mama

We're southbound this Sat. and should be in Gulfport, MS by Sunday night - I just wanted to give an advance warning to all the members between WI and the Gulf. So if you see this rig parked at a food joint, http://www.simpsontaxidermy.com/RSVtrailer.jpg feel free to stop and buy us lunch. If you see us on the road - get out of the way! This trip south is the main reason I won't be attending the rally in Ontario this year. My daughter starts training with her battalion in late June and then leaves for Afghanistan sometime in Oct., so this will be the last chance I get to see her before she ships out for almost a year. Keep a good thought for her safe return, eh?

It would be great if everyone attending the ride to St. Jude Children's Hospital would wear a VentureRider shirt or hat or both while we are visiting the hospital. I hope to see some extra faces there that havent posted about attending...only 2 days to go.............

I have set the date for Saturday, October 27, 2007. I have set the time for 1:00 pm for us to arrive at the hospital. I have confirmed this date with Dennis Johnston at St. Jude Childrens Hospital and they are more than happy to accomodate us on that date. What they will need to know is aprox. how many to expect so they can have ample parking available for us. We will be given a tour of the hospital and its facilities while we are there. If we have a large group of more that 15 or 20 they will need to break us up into two groups. As for bringing something for the kids, he is going to send me a list of things that would be acceptable, since they dont want anything brought in that might harbor harmful bacteria.....no stuffed animals in one of the no no's. He is also sending a guideline for the tour. I will post all of that info as soon as I receive it. So if you plan on attending, please let me know for sure no later than Oct. 19th. Thanks to all who have donated and/or planning on attending this meaningful event. This is for me a 1 day event, I will be leaving Memphis to return to Atlanta after we have done everything and have had a nice meal. If anyone would like to add to the amount that we have already raised at Vogel, you can send them to me at my snail mail or Paypal. Just pm me and let me know how you would like to do it. Thanks again.
