Who wants to get together for a ride this Saturday? Or Sunday if that's prefered? Maybe meet for breakfast or along a route somewhere. Thinking of going out to the Irish Hills area, perhaps lunch at the sports bar & grill at US-12 & US 23. Depending on who wants to attend we can alter meet locations as well as where we go. Maybe a nice ice cream stop before the days over. Larry

Greetings all fellow Venturers ! Since I am not able to attend this year due to work and a planned trip to Spain with the family this year I thought that I would get somebody from Iceland to attend on my behalf. Had problem getting my mother to attend so my final option was to send Mr. Black Death instead of Momma. Big Tom has received two bottles of that dreadful drink and i hope he will put them in the freezer and serve to those who would like a taste on Saturday evening:group cheers:. Keep an eye on him for me - he got hooked on Black Death and urinated shark when he and Vicky visited us in Iceland last summer. Sorry I could not send the shark - Don´t want the US custom to get pissed at me. Wish you all the happiest time at Freebirds the coming weekend. Warmest regards to you all from, Jonas and Greta (we will see you in 2013 rain or shine).

I won't be able to attend MD this year, but I sent 4 Mic-Mutes kits for the RSV to Freebird. If you want Mic-Mutes it is $139.95.

I was thinking about getting one of these. 120 Amp MIG/Flux Wire Welder with Wheels from Harbor Freight. I've never welded before. Is welding something that one can learn from a home video or should one attend a class or should it be left to someone that has been welding for a few years.

I've had a lot of members calling me and telling me that they are comming to my rally this year and that is great...but, members are not signing up on the calendar...if you are attending or think you are attending , please sign up so I can get a more accurate food count.. I hate to run out of food or drinks.....also, if you are attending the train ride on Sunday please let us know so that we can get a group rate and reserve seats....Last year we had about seventy attend...this year we have only 25 or so sign up...I know this number is way off....please help me make this event another success as in past years by signing up if you plan to attend....thanks everyone....

If any venture riders in the UK are not aware - this bank holiday (Monday) Thanet is hosting its 4th annual Ace Cafe meet in Margate. We estimate around 45, 000 bikes will attend this event on and around the harbour. With live bands, bars and stalls its the place to be this Monday. I'll post some pics next week.

I was wondering if anyone is planning to attend either of these swap meets on the 16th and 17th of April. http://www.washingtonvintagemotorcyclists.org/WVM_Swap_Meet_flier-1_2011.pdf http://www.classicbikeswapmeet.com/swap_meet.html If the weather is good my buddy and I are planning to take the bikes and attend both, if the weather isn't cooperating we are going to cage it. My lovely wife says she will join me for her first bike ride that weekend! I'm excited!!

I've been telling myself for years that I need to do it. Now I am registered. I'm taking the "Basic Riding Course 2" (Formerly the Experienced Rider Course) from MSF. It says that a passenger is welcome and since I do a lot of 2-up riding, my navigator will attend also. First opportunity is in May but I'm looking forward to it and hope I don't drop it!!

Our 5th annual wine party is this coming Saturday, Feb.19th....wine of choice this year is Shiraz...or Syrah, depending on what part of the world it's from. Warm ups start at 7:00, and the "official" tasting begins at 8:00 sharp. Keep the cost of your bottle under $30, keeping in mind that last years winner was $4.95 U.S.(Barefoot Merlot) Here's how it works....I take your bottle of wine, wrap it in a paper bag, # it.....and when the tasting time arrives, they are all set out, and the score sheets are given to those that want to rate the wines, according to their tastes. The score sheets are added up at the end of the wine tasting, and a "winer" is declared, along with the next 4 top rated so that you can rate your tasting against the "official results". Last year we sampled 19 different bottles, and had 60 winos attend.....it is a lot of fun. So, if you plan to attend, let me know, I'll get you our address and telephone #. There's a spare bed and 2 spare couches...and lots of floor space to share with the dog and cat Speaking from past experience, the food available is awesome, the mix of people is very entertaining, and it is a GREAT way to break up a long, bleak, cold, dreary, snowy, did I mention COLD winter? gunk:shock3:

I am reposting to get a head count on who is attending the Car and MC show in NORTH BRANCH MN on June 13th (Saturday) from 9 AM to 2 PM. It is $5.00 to display your bike or free to attend. I was thinking if there was an interest from people I would have a BBQ during the day and camp out over night for those who would like to attend. I have an acre to camp out and on, a nice area with a fire pit. Gas grill for BBQing and just good camaraderie for those in attendance. If interested please let me know and I will start a list in this posting so people can see that your attending. Anyone and everyone is welcome. Oh I forgot there is a DQ in town. After all this is an eating club with a riding disorder. RIGHT? Below is the list of people that have expressed interest. What I need is a head count so I can get some hot dogs and hamburgers. Please confirm that you will attend and how many. I will keep editing my list with up dated info. Steve aka Bubber Black Owl ...... tentatively yes Nyuk Renne Grampagak Craig Bob S. (spray can Bob)

I know there are a lot of racing fans on this site, so how many of you have attended the Indy 500. It's been a dream of mine for years, but something is always getting in the way. Is it as good to attend as I imagine or is it, as some have told me, better sitting in front of a widescreen in the comfort of your home. Thanks.
