My bookmark is set to go to; http://www.venturerider.org/forum/ and it works as normal there for me, HOWEVER, when I am at the above location, clicking on the 'FORUM' tab opens the 'ARTICLES' page ( http://www.venturerider.org/forum/content/ ). Subsequent clicks on the 'FORUM' tab returns me to the 'ARTICLES' tab.

As many of you are aware, I have a 1986 Venture Royale. I use it for personal daily transport (yeah, it goes to Walmart), for pleasure rides with my wife on the back, and for Long Distance Riding. I am not alone in this, not even on this Forum where there are several contributors who do the same or similar. It occurred to me that there must also be many who think "Mad sods! Catch me doing that!", and others who actually like the idea but are not sure what is involved. LD Riding is not for everyone but there may be some wondering what it is like, and how they can dip their toes in the water. If there is any interest I would be very happy to write a series of articles describing what is involved .... the bike, the planning, the execution and other stuff folk are interested in. If that would be welcomed, please reply below and if the articles are to be useful, then some idea of the concerns that need to be addressed would be helpful. LD Riding isn't just about Certificates and Rallies, sometimes it is just that two-week vacation you are planning, and want to acheive in an enjoyable way rather that a painful one.

Greetings All, Happy to have found a good online Venture club that I can converse with ! ! ! ! I'm a new owner of a 2006 Venture (one month). I`ve ridden other large bikes and my last bike was a Suzuki Indruder 1500. I really like the Venture but am still struggling with the new feel. Does anyone know of any articles that can suggest how to handle the bike. I stilll struggle with turns, turning the bike around, backing it up and a feeling that the bike is tippy when stopped. I realize that it is a large bike with more upper weight that I need to get used to. But any suggestions or articles would be helpful... Thanks Dutch

http://www.msgroup.org/articles.aspx this is really interesting. it's by a guy named James R Davis, who is an "expert witness" in regards to motorcycle safety. all the articles are bite sized, but some of the ideas take longer to digest. all in all very interesting, though, i thought i'd share!

Hi guys, I wrote several "how-to" articles for our Royal Star Venture and you can find them on my website, http://www.RideBellChain.com - look at articles on the right side. I wrote a Stebel Horn installation, LED marker lights install, adding a Goldwing Vent to my windshield and a few more. I hope I won't get in trouble for leading you all to my site, but it's too hard to post all the pics, etc. to the forums I go to. I hope you enjoy! hey guys, while the bike was up on the sky hook tonight, I removed the cover over the key to allow the bars to swing to and fro without touching that plastic shroud.. The articles say that a properly tightened steering head should fall to one of the stops and bounce off once and nicely settle down .. However, when I do mine it's like a frikken yo yo.. a push on the bars and it hits maybe 3 or 4 times.. no wonder the bike sometimes feels like it wants to wander in some turns.. Articles say to loosen the big nut and use a common screw driver to bang against the nuts under the top tree but I can't seem to budge that big nut.. I have risers on my bars and maybe those are making it harder to access the nut? Does anyone know what size that big nut is? Is there a torque value for that nut and if so, how do you apply it?

Is anyone having trouble connecting to the ebay link at the bottom of the home page . When I go to the bottom of the ebay list I see that there is 290 articles for sale. When I click on the link it comes up with 2700 articles for sale many of which are not related to bikes. Does anyone have a suggestion???
