Okay all your Venture Rider dudes, here is the latest from the big island down under................ WE IS COMING !! Went into the Travel agent and booked the flights and the car rental Woo Hoo!! Arrive LAX on the 17th July 2015..... So see you at the International Rally folks. :cool10:

The wife and I are headed to Florida for 11 days in January to do some riding:Venture: and goofing off. Thought I would post our itinerary for our trip to see if anyone would be up for a meet and eat, (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) or a ride. Arrive Pensacola Thursday 1/17 depart Saturday 1/19 Arrive Wildwood 1/19 depart 1/20 we will meet some friends in Dade City (north) and do a little riding on Sunday 1/20 We will spend the night of 1/20 in Sarasota and then head to Ft Myers Sometime Monday 1/21 Leave Ft Myers Tuesday 1/22 Arrive Key West that evening. Leave Key West Thursday 1/24 Arrive Cocoa Beach that evening Ride around Cocoa Beach and Daytona Beach Area leaving on Saturday Afternoon headed back to Pensacola. We will then be in Pensacola til Tuesday 1/27 Let me know if anyone is interested in meeting up for a ride and/or some food Rick

Hey I said I would start a thread on this, so here it is. Plans so far: MarCarl to leave home at 8 am, arrive at Casablanca about 9 Leave Casablanca at 9:30, arrive at Fort Erie about 10:15 Cross the border and head for Quality Inn, Elyria, Ohio, hopefully be there in time to have a shower (only if needed) and then go to QSL for supper. So who's coming, and where do we have to wait for Ben?

I got ambitious after I got home from work today, got the exhaust system back on the bike, and the radiator and cooling system back on, waiting on the throttle cables to arrive. starting to look like a motorcycle again.

hey all havent been around much for a while so im sure some of u know and some of u dont that we are moving heading to louisville area in the morning just about all packed up , what a nightmare, especially since i just got back on my leg after being off it all summer !! i have a dilema....and wondering if there is anyone in that area (moving to jeffersonville, indiana to be exact) that would be willing to help unload, hahaha should arrive sometime tuesday and gotta have the truck back to penske wed morning we got waylaid a day and origianlly planned to arrive monday my daughters coming down from ohio to help but as of right now thats the only help , her and dale i cant lift and carry anything heavy so im about worthless- no smart comments lol anyways wish us luck !

I'm headed to Don's Friday AM and would like to make an enjoyable ride out of it possibly takeing M-52 south past Toledo and some back roads across to Oberlin. This route would leave out the Detriot Metro area and Toledo. I would like to arrive in time to set-up camp and make the dinner run. What do ya think !. Any takers or suggestions.

Hey Kevin, Just letting you know to start looking for a parcel. Sending you donations for raffle prizes for the International Rally. Put a couple of things in that would suit children, in case some are going. Don't know when it might arrive, due to the volcano thing going on Just let me know when it gets there okay.

Here are some pictures of my new toy. She is an 86 Venture Royale, pretty well fully loaded, and low miles. I come from a background of touring on my 97 Kawasaki Concours. So, I am really looking forward to a bigger, fancier, touring bike. Should be shipped out on Friday, and arrive here in about 2 weeks. called randall at hub to touch base...and he said theres a few people there already......some people are anxious to get started i guess..... i think we are going to go ahead and head down later tomorrow afternoon now instead of waiting til sunday so we can get settled in before the masses arrive and want their tshirts and stuff..... we most likely will go back up to lamberts to meet the others for lunch still.

The Patches have arrived, the T shirts are ordered, the prize list is growing, and in a few days I will be placing my order with the carter for the food. Right now it looks like I have aprox. 60 bodies showing up for Vogel IV....Hopefully I will get some more registrations in, If you are going to register early the cut off date is July 31, after that please register on site when you arrive. I will also receive your registration by email if you like, and you can then pay when you arrive, that will speed up the process when you arrive. You can send them to lccramer@yahoo.com. All the accessories I've ordered to make it possible to keep riding are starting to arrive at last Steves' grill guard is here, adjustable floorboards have arrived, rear spoiler light came today and also my braided brake lines. Just waiting on my specially ordered tank bra from Troy (on it's way) and the most important bit--the trike conversion ! That won't arrive here and clear customs until middle of June :crying: The only thing left to get are the handlebars, but getting short of :mo money:Will post pics when it's all done (if I ever figure out how to do it?)

:Venture:This Saturday, the wife and I, are heading out from Birmingham to Sylacauga. We are hooking up with Crooked Creek Riders Club, about 20 bikes, and heading all back roads up to Chattanooga, TN. Depart Sylacauga at 7:45am, arrive in TN about 5 hours later and staying at the Town And Country Inn....the plan from that point is to wash up, and get ready to meet down stairs in the Bourbon Street Restaurant & Bar to watch my Tide go up against the VOLS at 6:45 on ESPN. Sunday departure time approximately 8am. The return trip will take us through the valley of Little River Canyon as well as a scenic route through Fort Payne, AL. Should arrive home in the garage by 3pm. Which is plenty of time to clean up, and crash on the couch. The wife and I both pretty excited about it. Should be a great trip.

I just have to put a big plug for Ed and his company. He has been patiently working with me over the last week as I go through ordering a couple of headsets etc to work with the new J+M CB/Intercom I got for Marilyn's vstar. The man is a godsend and one that other businesses should model themselves after (I know some have). I cant wait for his product to arrive so we can continue our adventure as this (me) dummy tries to install everything!

Based upon all of your positive commentary about SW Moto Tire, I purchased two tires on-line. I have not had the same positive experience that you've all raved about. This will be my last purchase from them and I hope that some day my tires arrive.

Robin and I are headed to the Grand Canyon October 1st. The first night we will spend in Laughlin, then on to Williams in Arizona. Can anyone here can tell me what we should see and which way to head when we arrive at the park? I've been told the weather would be great at this time of year in Arizona. Leonard
