A man driving a pickup truck was driving in the opposite direction when he crossed into their lane hitting them head on. He was speeding and is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. The man responsible for this tragedy was kicked out of a bar not far from where the incident occurred not long before the accident. That man, John P Heaney III was NOT arrested at the scene and has not been charged yet.John P Heaney III is a former Plainfield NJ police officer that retired after a disability claim. He was NOT arrested at the scene. I'm sure that if he plowed into a mother with her children or a group of kids on bicycles he would still be sitting in a jail cell. but the judge ordered it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it being the DNA swab........ could be a while for the results so keep the prayers coming that we get a match !! back to court next month where most likely from what was said today his lawyer is going to try to get his admission to what he did that night when he was arrested not admissable in court.
