I recently changed out my rear pads. Brakes have been completly flushed and operate fine. But when I apply the rear brake I hear a sort of clicking sound I never heard before. Almost sounds like crickets or something. Dont hear it if you only apply front brakes. I was thinking maybe it was because now there is more pad to cross over the vent holes in disk. But why wouldnt you hear it from the front.

I found this information about new lithium-ion battery technology and how it may apply to electric vehicles interesting. http://oilandglory.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2011/02/07/how_the_us_may_win_the_battery_race

I see ads all the time where there are a lot of Harleys for sale. My curiosity wants to know why. This will apply to PREVIOUS HARLEY OWNERS ONLY!! I don't want second hand info either. I don't want to know about the guy down the street or someone's brother-in-law who may have owned one. I think it would be interesting as to why people give up their Harleys. Is it because of money problems, the bike itself, service, maybe it was because of a death in the family, or whatever else? So, if you have previously owned a Harley and given it up for something else, tell us why. Personally, I've never owned one so this does not apply to me. We all have opinions, but to hear from the actual previous owners is the purpose of this survey. Above all else, THIS IS NOT ANOTHER HARLEY BASHING SESSION!!!!!!! If it turns to that , I'll ask Freebird to take it down!!!

In order for me to apply the rear brake pedal, I have to lift my foot completely off of the floorboard to apply the rear brake. Are there any type of control/modification that would allow me to leave my heel on the floorboard and still be able to apply the rear brake? Or is this just something to live with? (It is what it is)...

Help, here is my problem. I have LED tail lights on my Hannigan trike and they are suppose to blink three times and the go steady when you apply the brakes. They work fine when I apply the brakes with the engine off but with the engine running they work fine for the first two times you apply the brakes but then on the next brake application they start blinking and don't stop blinking as long as you hold the brake lever or press the foot brake. The problem only occurs when the engine is running. I have checked all the grounds and it seems to be getting good ground. I have even run a ground stright to the battery. Any ideas?

Hello, I have a 1989 venture, 87,000 miles. Bought it couple of months ago. Noticed when I apply brakes, the volt meter drops down almost to the yellow line. When I release, it comes back up past 12. It had trailer wiring on it which I removed thinking that was the problem. Gauge still drops down. Pulled the connector for the rear tail lights and turn signals and applied brakes and still drops down. Disconnected foot brake switch and applied front brake, with connector to rear lights still disconnected and needle still drops. Is it possible that the switches are bad and causing the drop in voltage when I apply the brakes? Thanks for the responses in advance. Ya'll have a good Holiday and a Happy New Year.

I wondering if any OF's (over 62) on the board have picked up one of those Lifetime Senior Park Passes for $10 bucks? And if so where did you go to apply for it? Seems like it would be a good thing to have if you plan on visiting any National Parks in the future, and the $10 bucks is kinda cheap......

My windshield is getting pretty hard to see through. I'd rather not replace it right now but I have to do something. Is there some way I can buff it out and make it clear again? Need some advise on what to use and how to apply it. Thanks all.
