Please excuse my ignorance, I'm a Goldwing owner and not that familiar with the RSV. I'd like to know what are the differences in the later years of the second gen. Particularly in the audio and electronics. I ask this because I want to know if Mic-Mutes works on the most recent model years of the second generation. I haven't heard of any application problems yet but I'd like to know.

For those of you who use a Blackberry, I had a request to install the BerryBlab application and have done so. I have not tried it and have not heard back from the member who requested it so I don't know how well it works. I have been told that the Tapatalk application is really buggy for the Blackberry so if you want to try this one, you are welcome to do so. If you do, please report your results. I may try it also. http://www.berryblab.com/

If you are an Iphone user check out the Accufuel application from the Apple App store. It is an simple application that tracks mileage for each fill up and keeps an average mpg as well as a tank mpg. Since I always have my phone with me it is easy to enter the data at each fill up. $0.99 well spent. Check it out at: http://www.appigo.com/accufuel/ DT

I don't want to offend anyone from Alabama but that state is not business friendly. I saw a bumper sticker a few years ago that said "make getting welfare as difficult as it is to get a building permit." I know that was a joke but it is so true. Now for the rest of the story. I work with motorcycle dealers to provide insurance coverage for their customers when they buy a bike and need insurance before they leave the dealer. I am available on the weekends when most bikes are sold. I work with some dealers in Columbus, Georgia which is on the line of Alabama. When you drive through Columbus you will see almost as many Alabama tags as Georgia. So I needed to be licensed in Alabama to help those customers. I went on line an completed an application for an Alabama non resident license and paid the fee of $67.00. The next week I received an email stating that my license was approved and I could go to the Alabama Insurance Department web site and print a copy of my license. I thought, wow, these people have their act together. When I went on the web site there was a message that I must license my agency in Alabama also before I could write insurance there. The agency application was nine pages and I had to pay a fee of $127.00. I did this and after several weeks I hadn't heard anything so I called the Alabama department and got the voice mail of Antwone. He will not return your call. I finally called and asked for his supervisor. She searched and couldn't find my application but the $127.00 charge was on my credit card. She asked me to fax a copy of the agency application and she would process the agency license. Weeks went by and I didn't hear anything so I faxed her a request for the status of the application. I got a reply that all Georgia agency license applications were on hold and would not be issued until Georgia reached a reciprocity agreement with Alabama. Weeks went by and I finally got my agency license and I was relieved that all was ok now. Not. There was a memo with my agency license that stated I had 20 days to register my corporation with the secretary of state in alabama or my agency license would be suspended. I called the secretary of state and asked what I had to do to register with them. They said to go on line and complete a short application and mail it to them, with a check for $175.00. I was completing the application and there was a question that said to list the name and street address of my registered agent in Alabama. I called and asked if the registered agent would be me. They said, do you live in Alabama. I said no and they said well you can't be the registered agent. I said I don't know anyone in Alabama. They said well you can't do business in Alabama but we can fax you a list of companies that will act as your registered agent in Alabama. I got the list and guess what? I had to send them $125.00 to act as my registered agent. I got this done and thought whew, I'm glad this is over and I can now write insurance in Alabama. But guess what? A few weeks later I received a letter from the Alabama Department of Revenue that stated I had 60 days to file a business priviledge tax form and there would be no extensions. I called them and asked why I had to file a tax form when I hadn't even done any business their yet. They said it was for the priviledge of doing business in Alabama. I said OK I will complete the form but all of the questions will have a zero filled in the blank. They said we don't care as long as you pay the tax. I completed the form with zeros and the computed tax owed was zero except there is a minimum tax due of $100.00. Two days before the deadline line I mailed the tax form with a check for $100.00 and thought, I am through with this nightmare. But, guess what. A few weeks ago I received a notice from the Alabama department of revenue that I filed the tax form late and owed a $50.00 late filing fee. I thought they would by the postmark date but evidently went by the date the form was received. Even the IRs goes by the postmark date. Anyway I am through with those yahoos in Alabama and I don't see why any company would do business there. For all of you that live in Alabama I know you don't have anything to do with this and I don't want to offend you but I am burnt out with the state of Alabama.

With the rally going to be in Canada,Starting Monday, new passport requirements kick in I thought that I would share this since I found it in the paper today better get it in soon I would say Next week marks another chapter in a long, often confusing saga of changing U.S. entry rules: As of Monday, U.S. airline passengers will once again need to carry a valid passport when traveling to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda. This summer, after a deluge of applications and complaints of months-long backups, the Bush administration had temporarily waived new passport requirements that took effect Jan. 23 under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. (Travelers still needed proof that they'd applied for a passport.) Now, with extra staff on board and the summer travel crunch over, the State Department says it has cut passport processing times to six weeks for a routine application and three weeks for expedited service. For the fiscal year ending Sunday, the department issued an estimated 18 million passports, up from 12.1 million in 2006. Starting Jan. 31, Americans returning by land or sea from Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean must, for the first time, show either a valid passport or both a birth certificate or other proof of citizenship and government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license. But what happens next remains uncertain. The Bush administration still plans to implement tighter rules sometime next summer (the exact date will be announced with at least 60 days' notice) that would mandate a passport or another to-be-determined document for most U.S. travelers who re-enter by land or sea. Cruise passengers on sailings that start and end in the USA could continue to show only a government-issued photo ID and birth certificate or other proof of citizenship. Also exempt from the new passport requirement: U.S. and Canadian citizens under 16, plus children 18 and under traveling in designated groups. For tips, application wait times and downloadable application forms: travel.state.gov/passport. •For a first passport, you'll need to apply in person at one of about 9,000 post offices, public libraries or other government offices. •Take a certified copy of your birth certificate, two identical 2-inch-by-2-inch color photographs, a valid photo identification, an application form and fee for the new passport. It is good for 10 years ($97 for travelers 16 and older and $82 for those under 16). •Passport renewals cost $67. If your passport is undamaged and less than 15 years old, you were at least 16 when it was issued and you have the same name (or can legally document your name change), you can renew by mail. •If you're traveling in less than three weeks, consider paying $60 for expedited service, plus overnight-delivery fees. •Last-minute travelers leaving within two weeks who haven't yet applied for a passport should make an appointment to visit one of 14 regional passport offices. To make an appointment by e-mail, visit travel.state.gov/passport, click on " About Passport Services," then " National Passport Services Center." By phone: 877-487-2778. The call center is staffed from 6 a.m. to midnight ET, Monday-Friday, plus limited weekend hours. According to the State Department website, the best time to call is after 8:30 p.m. or before 9 a.m. ET. •Travelers who already have applied can check their status at travel.state.gov/passport. Click " Online Application Status Check." Current applications are taking seven to 10 days to be tracked online. Wow, that is a lot of things to think about so that our rally is a huge sucess next year we got to start planning now. I did not realize that passports cost that much. I thought that I would share Jessie:2132:
