"reason for getting the ipod touch is that Clarion no longer makes the CD changers for Yamaha. I have the cable in the saddlebag but no CD changer. I was told the dealers don't know a lot about what is going on with the ipod touch. The ipod touch will come with an adapter to plug into the CD cable in the saddlebag. This ipod touch is the replacement for the CD changer." I did a search and found a Chinese site that indicated production numbers of 60,000/year for the Venture. I have had a desire for a lighter, agile bike for local riding. The 2011 America with it's under 900 cc engine feels great. It has forward controls and is very comfortable on the dealer floor. There is no way that I would ever delete my perfect 02 Midnight Venture. Has anyone had experience with the Triumph America?

My friend needs a part for his '03 Triumph America. It is the ICU P/N T1291100. The dealer can get it for $606. Anyone know where he could get it cheaper? Used is ok if it works. Thanks for any help. MIKE aka Uturn

Does any body have any idea how many 2nd Generation RSV's were actually produced for sale in North America? World Wide? How many are still in service? For being such a dependaple good looking motorcycle I sure don't see many around. Any guesses, facts, opinions? Ross

Updated my Zumo 550. After I downloaded the update to my computer I put it on the gps. I had to pick what areas I wanted. I picked the 48 states but that leaves quite a bit off. Is there any way I can increase my memory to carry all North America? The update had a pop up that said that with all the new stuff that was included there wasn't enough room for all the maps I used to have. ????

When our US Navy Veterans group wanted to go for a ride on Skyline Drive, which is in the Shenandoah National Forest I found that the USGS issues what is called the America the Beautiful Access Pass which will get people with permanent disabilities into National Parks and other National Recreation Areas for free... I showed the Park Ranger my VA disability paperwork and now I have one!!!!!! To my surprise our entire group has permanent disabilities (as deemed by the Veterans Administration) and we all have the passes now. It also MAY get you a 50% discount on camping and other things... I thought we were in trouble when store clerks could no longer make change without relying on their cash register to tell them how much change was due. Yesterday proved me wrong. I also showed me how much trouble the US was really in. I have been looking at GPS units for the company vehicles. Given the abuse they would receive and the chances of them being stolen, I don't want to invest a whole lot of money into them. Anyway, I came across a good buy (so I thought) on the Magellan 3100 North America. The price was right, so I purchased one top try it out. Got it home and found out, to my surprise, that Magellan apparently considered the entire North America to consist of 48 states. Okay, foolish me. So, I figure what the heck, I can upgrade it and down load the maps for Canada. No can do. The 3100 is no upgradeable. So, back to the store I go. Tell the clerk at customer service I want to return the unit. She asks why and I tell her. This confuses her, and she calls the manager over. Explain to the manager that I had expected the 3100 North America version to at least have maps of Alaska and Canada. He looks at me like I'm crazy. (I probably am, but that is beside the point) Anyway, he states, will all seriousness that there are only 48 states in North America. This catches me completely off guard, and I ask him where he thinks Canada, Mexico and Alaska are. He responds by telling me that Canada is a foreign country, and Mexico is in South America. Should have realized at this point, that it was a lost cause. But I still tell him that actually Canada and Mexico are part of North America. To this he responds that he didn't think that Magellan would make that kind of a mistake. And if what I said was true, the high schools were teaching the wrong information. :bang head: And this was the store manager. Anyway, he took the unit back. I went to another store and purchased a Garmin Street Pilot.
