My local Drag Specialist distributor wants $15.00 for shipping for a $2.95 Baron Mini Lens. Something I can mail for about $2.00. Looking for a non cracked Baron Mini Lens like the small one in the picture. It can be amber or red and the color can be really bad for I will be painting it red to match the others that I've already painted. I will be willing to buy the lens and pay for postage.

well its not for me this time. but kind of. early today my daughter Amber had to rush her husband my son in law to the hospitial. he woke her up screamming for help. he was on the bathroom floor verry sick and verry weak. i will give you some info on justin. justing is 29 years old and suffers from a defect of the heart this runs in his family. last year justin had a new heart put in. he has fought for his life and to keep a promise to marry my daughter. and he kept that promise. they where married this may. justin is the love of my daughter. they where high school sweethearts who broke up once then got back together. he is a fine young man. who tries to work as much as social security will let him. yes he is considerd dissabled. i allways pray for Amber and Justin. as my daughter is only 30 and yes sometimes i fear that she could become a widow at an early age. due to Justins health problems. so far i have not heard back from here and im on pins and needles here. they live in MN and im about 8 hrs or more away and to darn broke to make a mad dash up there. but if i get the call to come i will do every thing in my powers to get there. sometimes i hate being so far away but Amber and Justin have a huge family up there in MN so i know he will have fine folks around him. please excuse my spelling and typing. im just a nervous wreak right now thank you james aka oldgoat

If you have a light bar, are the turn signals the stock ones and just relocated to the lightbar? The lightbar was already on the bike when I bought it. Had an oops moment yesterday. I was taking off the old front amber lense (clutch side) to put on a new clear one. One screw was stubborn and didn't want to come out. The lense itself eventually broke and so did the screw. Unfortunately It broke pretty flush with the part that it screws into in the turn signal housing so only option was to drill out the screw. I will say that I am usually good at drilling out old bolts and such. Well this is one time I wasn't. I didn't have the correct angle so ended up drilling out completely part of the hole the screw goes into. So the option I see is replace the turn signal housing. I also want to get another amber lense in case I ever want to go back to stock or go to LED signals (thanks Freebird for the input on matching led color to lense for brightness). Are the front and rear signal housing interchangable? Any suggestions?

Took most of the day to find a place where it would fit. But I finally got the Strebel horn mounted on the Virago. Not much open space for mounting accessories. No, someone is definately going to be getting a wake up call the next time they do something stupid. Had a guy blow a red light as I was starting into a left turn on the turn arrow. Saw him speed up as the light went to amber and just knew he wasn't going to stop. He hit the intersection after the lamp went red on him but he didn't even slow down. Guess you just can't fix stupid. But I'm sure gonna call it to their attention now.

well the oldgoats back ite been a hectic few days up in Brainerd MN. the wedding of my daughter Amber to her husband Justin was great. but like most weddings it rained. then right after the sun came out for the reception. of course a church made for 200 pepole was over packed and hot as he$$. no one passed out. i got along with the step dad as we both walked her down the isle. sometimes old wounds must be coverd up for the child. my daughter and I danced to the song i held her first. and of course i cried. and of course i forgot my camera but will be getting a picture album from her and my son-in-law. im verry proud of this young man he fought a heart transplant and all kinds of medical problems and came out of a coma to keep his promise to be with Amber. she was by his side day and night. now there together for life. there off now on there honeymoon up in Dulth MN to start on my future grandkids.

I installed Amber Passing / Highway lamps on my Midnight, info on the box to show you what to order if you're also so interested in doing the same.. Lights were available at local NAPA dealer, you can see the part number on the box. I have a super bright headlight installed which is brighter than the highway lights, so I added the Amber lights to be more noticeable on the highway.. Some were asking about them, you can see it on my bike and decide if it's decent looking or 'uhgly' lol http://www.eastcoastphotos.com/venture/amberlights01.jpg http://www.eastcoastphotos.com/venture/amberlights02.jpg

A while back I posted looking for some stock turn signals. After a few members gererously offered up some parts I discovered a box of parts to truck/tractor lights that a previous tenant left in the basement. Between all the different parts I was able to make 2 working lights. They are double sided. I liked the look of white lenses in the front, but used amber colored ones on the rear. When they light up they have an amber center with amber rings. Here are some photos showing the led turn signals that came on the bike, a piece of aluminum I made brackets out of and the finished project. I'll have to modify the lower wind deflectors so those aren't installed yet. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk86/jason1gp/venture/IMG_1831-1.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk86/jason1gp/venture/lights_02.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk86/jason1gp/venture/lights_03.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk86/jason1gp/venture/lights_04.jpg

I just finished doing a tech inspection on an alleged brake failure. The driver reported that the vehicle in front of him stopped when the traffic signal turned to amber. When he tried to stop, his brakes failed and he rear ended the truck in front of him. My question has nothing to do with brake failure. Rather, with the traffic laws in your state/province. As a general rule, amber lights are intended to give the traffic already in the intersection time to clear the intersection before the cross traffic signal turns green. So, Are you allowed to proceed INTO an intersection on an amber light? If yes, and you stop on the amber, will you be ticketed for impeding the flow of traffic? Also, if you can proceed into the intersection on an amber, what is the purpose of the amber light? Just idle musings here...

Really guys, I'm not a whiner, just trying to edumacate myself here --- I came home today to test the RSV start up and battery: 1. Turned ignition to ON (used Squeeze suggestion too!) 2. Amber ck engine light came on for 2 seconds and went off 3. Hit the starter -- red coolant and oil lights came on and went off as soon as starter was released. According to the manual, the Amber ck engine light shld come on AS THE STARTER IS PUSHED -- not when the ignition is turned to on. The bike is turning over right away and idling nicely. Soooo......? What's up with the amber light coming on with the ignition and not with the starter? Thnx for your patience and help, DREBBIN
