Just bought an '88 Venture last night. The owner said it was making a clicking sound from the rear. From what I've read it sounds like the axle may need to be aligned? Is it safe to ride it like this? I really would like to take it for a spin. Thank you.

my left saddlebag is in a bind at the rear, it won't open. any suggestins as to how to get it open. I'm in Colorado and my jacket and rainsuit are in there. I push down on the latch as hard as i can while my friend tried to get it aligned. we're stumped. any help would be greately appreciated.

Ok guys, the new cams are installed and the engine is back in the frame. I connected the battery and cranked it over. The front cylinders are firing, the back cylinders are not. The back cylinders are spitting out of the carbs. I checked and found no compression on those cylinders. I removed the valve covers and rechecked the cam timing. It looks right with T1 = back cams aligned and T2 @ 430 degrees counter-clockwise and front cams aligned. Any ideas as to why the back cylinders are not firing?

I'm doing the PCW clutch mod. After opening the cover and exposing the clutch. I decided to take a couple of pictures (see below) I used the link below as a guide plus the instructions that came with the kit. Great write up. Here is my dilemna. As you can see by my picture which was taken prior to disassembling the clutch, the single notch on the pressure plate is aligned with the two dots on the housing. I've got 20100 miles on it The clutch has never been opened. I feel I should put it back together the way it came appart. Any thoughts??
