So I bought my 99 RSV a couple of years ago with a rebuilt title. Since that time we have done a frame up restoration on it. With all the time and money I have wrapped up in meticulously redoing this bike I'm almost afraid to put it on the road without good insurance. I understand agreed value seems to be the best way to go. I wanna know if a deer runs out in front of me and messes up my bike that I'm not going to have to fight an insurance company for what I think is fair (around $8000). I've called just about everyone I can think about... Progressive, Allstate, Hagertys, Chubb, American Modern, GMAC,ect... Any suggestions out there? Keep in mind I bought it with a salvage rebuilt title, but have restored the hell out of it, literally taking the whole bike apart and replacing every little nut, bolt, grommet, and washer to bring it back to as new condition. New paint, gauges mod, lowered, the whole nine yards. Any helpful suggestions will be appreciated. I don't want to bear this risk myself, I want an insurer to.....

I have begun shopping for new MC insurance. I switched auto insurance companies last August. My MC insurance expired Sept 1'st of last year and I never renewed it. My question is shopping for coverage on my 89 gives me a No coverage option or a ACV option. The 84 lets me choose No coverage or Agreed Price for things like collision etc. The Agreed Price I like after all you know what your scoot is worth to you and the ACV value doesn't.The other option was for accessories but I don't reallly have any on the 89.So it seems to me the 84 can be insured for more then the 89? I probably won't make a move until about March 1'st just looking for now and monitoring the finances.Darn hip joint has been giving me some trouble to.

well it apears that the final drive on my 91 vr is giving up its innards. Its making the dreaded howl when you let off the throttle. Kinda sounds like a dump trunk thats using the engine as a break. Does anybody have one that will fit they are willing to let go of. I have already talked to muffinman as to weather or not its the final or something else. I had the rear end and axle and drive shaft greased at the dealor and it didnt help. They even agreed that it was the final but no way Im paying $1500 for them to rebuild it.. anyways any help will be apreciated. Even if its ideas to check instead of replacement. Im even thinking of pulling the rear tire myself to regrease it . I have no idea what Im doing but Im sure with the help of this site and great members I can figure it out. Thanks in advance, David

I have a 2006 and take great care if this bike. I have always has scheduled mait done and with every trip I have always asked about the front end wobble. I have always been told this is just part of the bike, weight transfer, etc....I have had the steering head tightened, air in the front forks, new tires, et all. I have never had a bike do this and just about at my wits end. I talked to a Yamaha customer support rep and they agreed with me this is not normal. Going to take it to a new dealer to have this looked at. Anyone else had this problem and if so what are some things I might be missing??

Daddy, how was I born? A little boy goes to his father and asks 'Daddy, how was I born ?' The father answers, 'Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! YourMom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mailwith your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, andgoogled each other. There your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used afirewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button ,nine months later a littlePop-Upappeared that said: Scroll down...You'll love this ....... http://venturerider.org/forum/image.php?u=1102&dateline=1273642320&type=thumb'You got Male!

Hey Venture Riders My 88 VR is in the shop with a faulty CDI that needs replacement. I have hit up ebay and a few other sites, found one but not sure about how often the CDI's go out on the MK IIs. So I'm weary about buying a used one pulled off a bike that I don't know anything about. Yamaha dealer is about $500 *OUCH* My mechanic is working on trying to find one also. I trust him and what he can find but he and I both agreed that neither one of us can look everywhere. So I'm reaching out to you all for help to get me back on two wheels... Does anyone know of someone or somewhere I could look to find a CDI for a 1988 Venture Royale that's reputable? Thanks for reading guys (and gals) - Chris "The Crimson Knight"

He has his airline and hotel reservations made and I will pick him up at the airport on the 18th. If all goes well he will be on his way home with his new bike on Thursday. Once cash is in hand and/if I get a thumbs up report from Scott-Tooldood and/or Klaus-Kbert777 that the k1200LT that I have an agreed upon price on in the Las Vegas area; I will be heading down there on the 20th to ride my new 2005 LT home When that all happens, I will still lurk here, but will also be browsing the BMW Luxury Touring site for the same types of information I found here. I will keep you posted and add pictures as well. I want to continue to make the rides with you bunch of misfits, as I haven't met a better group of degenerates in a long time.
