What is the advantage to changing to the 17.5 pilots?

Hi I have read several posts about the K&N air filters. I am assuming the only advantage to going to a K&N type filter is that it is reusable and thus in the long run cheaper than replacing the stock filter over the life of the bike. Is there any other advantage? Besides all the hubris and claims, does the K&N actually have an impact on HP all by itself? I find that quite hard to believe so if anyone has any actual hard, factual information they would like to share I would be happy to hear it. Thanks in advance Chris -

Would there be any advantage to having both a volt and amp gauge? If not, which would be better to have?

Well, it's 38* this morning and I will be riding the bike over to my buddies place for winter storage and maintenance. Wish I would have washed her up real good on one of those nice days back in the first two weeks of Nov, but hey, I was hunting. Going to take advantage of the bike being gone to move the Bike Barn somewhere better where its more level. Will start next week with an oil change and deep cleaning.

Okay, so maybe not just yet but soon!! I have just been busier than a cat trying to bury a turd on a marble floor this last few months! Some of the major headaches have started falling into perspective. The biggest of all being the purchase of our new house here in WA.!!! Great market to buy in right now but nailing down our mortgage was hell on earth. It was what they refer to as a short sale, turned out to be a pretty sweet deal. However, we literally came within one hour and twenty minutes of loosing the deal (and about 2200.00) thanks to the underwriter dragging her feet! Still, alls well that ends well. Next its a grueling schedule of packing here and painting and stuff there... I thought I would take advantage of this momentary lull and say hey. So......HEY! I'm really looking forward to the day when things are back to where I can be more active with this group again. Your a great bunch! I'll be back as soon as I'm able. PAIN P.S. Incase anyone wonders, my broken butt bone is still a very active part in my decision making process at all times

Squidley, I understand that you sell an adapter plate for mounting the RK mufflers on the RSV headers. What is your pricing ? Is there an advantage to using the plate over using a p-clamp ? Thanks for the advise as well. Robert
