Test rode a Vision today and it was a smooth ride, however I think the bike I rode was defective it clunked really bad when you changed gears and had no power on acceleration. The handle bars seemed way to high does anyone know if they are adjustable?

Has anyone made an adjustable windshield similar to the Baggershield? Would it be difficult. It looks to me as if an old shield could be cut, drilled and sanded and then affixed to an existing shield with wing nuts and bushings. But then again, it might not be worth the trouble. Iowa Guy

OK, Been riding an 06 tour deluxe with Mustang seat that had integrated backrest. Bought a Midnight Venture with a standard seat. Cant ride but an hour or so before I am really feeling the need to lean back. I like the way the Mustang was adjustable and laid down. What backrest do you have or prefer and why? :feedback: Thanks in advance all. Signed, Old Hurtin' Back

OK,I had my pegs perfect UNTIL I sat on another GL1800..Hum whats the difference in the foot pegs I wondered..same as mine, same style, same area on crash guards mounted...I had to ask was it the seat? The answer was Kurakyn part # 8008A adjustable peg end, male mount. It replaces the "Clevis" or part that angles up when folding the highway peg up,with an adjustable clevis. I just put them on and I am loving it! I kept wondering how all my friends that are anywhere from 6ft 2 inches up to 6ft 9 inches looked so comfortable riding the Wing, now I know, they ALL have this on their highway pegs! http://motorcyclestuffwarehouse.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=136_447&products_id=2966 I bought mine from Texas Cycle Chrome in Houston

My 86 burned a valve and runs like crap. I can get 92 for $2500 with 80K miles on it, plus I have LOTS of great parts from the 86. OR, I can get a fully optioned 2001 BMW K1200LT with 39k miles and new service and tires for $7500. What do you think? Keep in mind I don't have as much time to work on them like I used to. I like the Venture looks and power. I like the BMW fuel injection and adjustable windshield. Moma like the BMW heated seats, but the lower price of the Venture. If I look at it in a 5 year term, the BMW seems the correct choice.

Hi all - Read all the posts about the wheel chocks and most deal with Harbor Freight. Anyone hear of this one? Or use it? A bit pricey but apparently adjustable for width. http://steadymate.com/us/product/20/68/steadymate-motorcycle-wheel-chock.html

Had a great ride to Sturgis but after I got there the seal on the shock died and dumped the oil. I think it was the age and the heat that killed it (99 RSV). So now is the question, do I buy a Yamaha factory replacement, the Ebay coilover or the the coilover from a company from UK ( Hagon Shocks). The Hagon shocks are preload adjustable and a 25 click dampening user adjustable for $399 (plus shipping). Has anyone heard of Hagon Shocks? Thanks, Wayde:95:

I'm trying to secure the front ties, but the tie down cords from the handle bars are making contact with the clear plastic pieces under the fairing. The anchors on the trailer are not adjustable. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to prevent damage.

It's official, I am no longer a proud Royal Star owner. The Victory dealer came and picked up my RSTD today. My new 2010 Victory Vision will be arriving in two or three weeks. Therefore my old username has to disappear as well. As tx2sturgis recently suggested, ManWithAVision seems much more appropriate at this point in time. With those dual stage heated handgrips and seats and electrically adjustable windscreen, I'm hoping to get in a few rides this winter on the dry days. I will post a comparison thread about the two bikes along the way. 06RSTDRider over and out!

While in Madill Oklahoma @ a gas stop on our way up to OKC a gentleman came up to me and was telling me about Yamaha having adjustable upper wind deflectors. They replace the clear plastic fixed deflectors attached to the bottom of the fairing on both sides. He said there in the new accessory catalog. I got on line and looked and did not see anything. Has anyone heard of these???

Kuryakyn adjustable cruise peg mount 4549, Foot board mounted. Listed for all road star and v-star 1100 models. Drill to mount. Kuryakyn Stiletto Footpegs 4476. Engine guards are flimsy, I'm 5'8'', so the foot board mount works best for me. The assembly is infinitely adjustable. Moves your feet away from the motor heat. No problems with clearance to the vents or brake/shift leavers. I like them. http://gallery.me.com/k1oj/100048/IMG_0300/web.jpg?ver=12319880000001 http://gallery.me.com/k1oj/100048/IMG_0295/web.jpg?ver=12319880220001 http://gallery.me.com/k1oj/100048/IMG_0296/web.jpg?ver=12319880270001 http://gallery.me.com/k1oj/100048/IMG_0298/web.jpg?ver=12319880370001 http://gallery.me.com/k1oj/100048/IMG_0299/web.jpg?ver=12319880120001

Do to my wife being so tall, hahaha. I find myself in need of a set of adjustable passenger floorboards the ones that go on the crash bars of a mark II. Does anybody have a set in any condition they'd be willing to part with? If not can I borrow a set to have them reversed engineered? Jeff
