So I've read a plethora of resources and online pages/blogs about performing a swap of the front end on my 77, but I can't seem to figure out one thing. There seems to be a variety of front ends that can be used for a conversion to a beefier/newer setup like from the Ninja's, but I'm curious if all of these require additional work due to steering stem length... Are there any compatible front ends that have the right bearings and stem length to basically be a "plug and play" setup? I'd like to do the conversion, but I'm looking for the easiest route possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Most of the online resources I checked or was directed to have loads of "lists" that cover this, but don't seem to go in any detail as to whether they are actual direct fit or need additional mods.

Just received a change in the Venture Patch with a New Font....It Brings tears to my eyes. All those who placed orders on the last thread "Venture Patch Order 4/20/12" will be receiving this new patch. So those that placed their order on that last thread DO NOT need to place order on this thread UNLESS you want to order more. If you want to order more, please place just the ADDITIONAL amount on this new tread , with the word "ADDITIONAL" so I know to combine the two orders. Sizes Available: 3 1/2 5 3/4 7 9 14

Ready to order an Elite 3 front tire. Question is since the front of my bike is lowered 1", would I get an additional improvement in handling by putting the "MT90" on, or should I stay with the "150"?

I am just about ready to order my front tire at American-Superstore. I got the add from this forum, so I am wondering if there is a promo code that we can use in order to get any additional discounts that can be applied to the total price.

I posted this on the Watering Hole, but it got lost so quickly I thought it might be more appropriate here. One of my winter projects is to add additional lighting to the back of my new-to-me 97 RSTD. I've read the many threads here on that subject, but was thinking the best method is to spread them out for maximum impact. There are many threads here on how people have added additional running/brake lights to their hard bags, but I was curios if anyone has added additional running/brake lights to the back of their leather bags? I'd be interested in what you used, and of course, pics! Thanks!

In my continuing venture for gear to make MC camping easier, came across this site. The Blackwater short sleeve tight fit is currently on sale and they are offering an additional 10% discount. Five of these shirts can be packed in the space it takes to pack two regular T's. http://www.botachtactical.com/bltifitshshs.html

Finally got the prototype detachable tour pak bracket back from the water jet shop (thought it was going to be laser cut). i'm attaching some pics. keep in mind that this material is only .060 thick and the final product will be .125 (i.e. 1/8"). there are several changes to be made, one is more radiusing on several areas, another is removing some additional material from the sides, and possibly utilizing gussets if necessary. you will notice that the front of the bracket uses the stock front mount for the stock backrest, you will also notice the back of the bracket uses additional docking hardware with locking mechanisms. the tour pak in the pic is one i purchased for approx. $110.00 (plus shipping), it is ABS plastic and actually has lines on the top of pak which mimics the gas tank lines. we will be repainting the tour pak (getting rid of that silly yellow dot on the top of tour pak) and will also be painting the bracket to match the bike. feedback would be appreciated, thanks. and keep Freebird in your prayers and pay your subscription today (additional donation would be awesome)!! http://i42.tinypic.com/359flnm.jpg http://i44.tinypic.com/x391dg.jpg http://i42.tinypic.com/fn5j43.jpg http://i43.tinypic.com/2iqho42.jpg http://i42.tinypic.com/aamg.jpg http://i41.tinypic.com/zss36x.jpg

I was thinking about adding some additional some additional lighting to the rear of my bike, Since it is not a Venture, a lightbar on the trunk is out. So, any ideas? Suggestions? Thoughts? I have already installed the Kuryakyn run/turn/brake controller so I have a little more back there. My opinion is the more the merrier!!
