As the title says, how do you jack up your Gen 1 Ventures? I was thinking about getting a jack but without lifting adapters I would not be able to jack up the bike without jacking on the exhaust pipes. I've read extensively about the Gen 2 adapters but I haven't seen anything on Gen 1 adapters. Or do we just have to lie down on the floor to work on it? Or use a table lift? I was thinking of getting the Harbor Freight High Lift jack like the one Cowpuc used in his May 6, 2014 post photos. But Puc jacked Tweeks up under the exhaust pipes without using an adapter. I don't want to do that.

I'm looking at purchasing the exhaust adapter for HD pipes. I was trying to search through ebay....under the store name "Hills" and found thousands listings....2 of which were the adapters. 1 has the plates and SS couplers. The other just the adapters and instructions etc. Problem is, they were both different sellers and not sure if either were Hills? I'd like to buy from site members if at all possible. I PM'd Hills a couple days ago but haven't heard anything back. The first was from ebay ID r-rebel2.....and can't recall the 2nd one. Thanks guys

I Just completed the install on the addition of the two extra lights on the rear of my Hannigan like 1-UP and B2DAD had done, show here. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=44683 It is a great addition to the trike and really lights up the rear even more. even looks like they belong in that spot. My FYI is that I noticed when taking the Adapters apart is how much dirt came out of them. So when I added the new lights I made two "Y" Adapters that I picked up at the computer store, as Hannigan uses the same connectors for that connection. I blew the dirt out of the original connectors cleaned them up and added die-electric grease on all the parts then connected the (y) adapters, then added silicon sealer to the top and bottom of all the wires going into each connector. Not sure if I ever would have noticed this if not adding the additional lights in the future. but seems it could be a problem of corrosion in the future. even if your not adding the extra lights I would check them and seal them a little better, Just my 2cents worth. (these connectors are the type that would be on your power supply in you computer) They had a strange look when I told them at the computer store I needed them for my motorcycle Happy Triking, Jeff

Well folks as much as I hate to do it I'm going to have to raise prices on the lift adapters. Between being squeased 3 ways on costs I really don't have much choice. Cost of steel, shipping, and shipping materials have been going up crazy this last 6 months or more. This being said, new prices will go into effect Aug 17, 09. Any orders prior to this date will be $10 less or at the current costs as they have been. Freestanding adapters will be $145 and Standard lift adapters will be $95. As before these prices include shipping anywhere in the USA. Canadian orders will have added costs . PM or e-mail me for quotes on shipping to Canada. Thanks to all previous customers, Larry

Hello everyone, I'm in the process of purchasing a carb sync tool. What I dont understand is the 5 and 6mm adapters. Where do they go? I thought all that was needed was to pull the little vac plugs and push on the vac hoses! Do these adapters need to screw in the base of the carbs or what? Do I need them for my 08 Venture? A buddy has an 1100 V-Star and wants his carbs done also. Will he need the adapters too? Thanks so much in advance for the help!!

I was willing to spend the big $$$ on kyrukyan (or how ever they spell their name) footpegs and adapters until I asked their tech support about peg adapters. the response from them was " we dont carry peg adapters for your bike." they were unwilling to give me dimensions of the adapters they carry to see what would work just the "NO they will not work on your bike, it's too old." Now I'm not interested in buying something from a company staffed by lazy or dumb people. so who has found an aftermarket footpeg that works to replace the worn out ones? it's a simple square male with a pin through it. They cant be some wierd size.

Hey y'all... BugFish69 was nice enough to give me a turn signal bar for my Venture (didn't even charge me shipping!!!) My turn signals do not fit on this bar. I bought my bike used and it had the driving lights. I've taken those off. Are there adapters that go between the bar and the signals? These are Yamaha turn signals and they appear to be the same as every other Yamaha turn signal built in the last dozen years or so. Any help will be appreciated. Forrest

Well folks it's been just over a year this month that I first offered my lift adapters for sale here and I want to take this moment to say "Thanks for all of the support and encouragement I've received from everyone here". I had already been out of a job for the previous 6 months so the extra money I was able to make was more than welcome. It gave me a purpose in filling my days as well as keeping me busy enough so that I didn't go nuts. Officially I'm retired now but fear not as I'll continue offering these lift adapters to anyone who wants one. As noted above making them keeps me just the right amount of busyness. I've even had the highest form of flattery as someone copied my design and has sold them on E-Bay. Since I have no patient on them he's legal if not ethical. He's only done the Standard model and also doesn't offer the Larin Special versions. I don't think he sells many thou as i've seen nurmous times he's listed them and had no sales. So in this regard I thank everyone again who has bought the adapters thru me. Also while Thanking folks for their support & purchases of the lift adapters I want to say the same for those who have purchased my Stebel horn brackets. THANKS to all, Larry
