The maintenance is done! Thanks guys for all of the help. My Rick Butler seat came in today to round off the package. I replaced all of the broken plastic. (no more tie-wraps) Changed the starter/thermostat/o-rings/antifreeze Balanced the carbs Repaired the CLASS system Changed the oil and filter Installed a remote garage door opener (works off of the high beam switch) Installed brake activated flasher LEDs in the front and rear lights (This may get me in trouble) I may still do Progressive springs. (probably will) Bring on the nice weather!

I was out for a quick ride before the winds got up and going up a moderate incline when the engine quit, like I had hit a kill switch. I am new to Ventures, mine is an 84. The guy I bought it from mentioned the switch activated by the side stand could cause problems. I messed with it on the side of the road, but couldn't get it to go. There's lots of gas and I've had no problems til now and it has run great. Any suggestions? '

I want to install an LED light bar under the trunk. Probably either the Rivco or the Diamond-R. However I have a Priority-Plus unit installed now, it makes the turn signals act as position lights (on all the time except when turn signal activated) and blinks the brake lights several times when the brake is activated prior to full-steady. I was planning to connect the light bar in the usual way to the tail and brake light wiring - tapping in after the Priority plus connection. Does any one know if this will work OK with a light bar or does the LED somehow react differently? I can't see why it wouldn't work but would appreciate comments from any of you who might be familiar with such set-ups.
