Need some advice I have an opportunity to buy a ’70 BSA Rocket 3 750 triple for $5K. Been in dry storage covered for 30+ years. One owner. Has racing wheels and tires w/ original tires and wheels in boxes that go w/ it. Copper color, looking at it today to determine condition and will post pics. If it is in good condition would it be worth 5K? I know nothing about BSA.

I did a 750 mile ride this weekend to see what issues might come up in preparation for my 2300 trip to Baton Rouge. Once again, i am reminded how comfortable these bikes are. The ride was Flawless although my mileage isnt where i expect it to be. With 1 remaining bar on the fuel gauge i have only gone about 110 miles. But other than everything is great with the bike. After an oil change and air filter change i will be ready for my 2300 trip to Baton Rouge. I havnt finalized my route but on my return ride, i am considering riding up to Memphis before coming home. One of my stops is going to be Arches monument in Utah. Any ideas on must see sights along that route (Memphis to Utah)?

Just curious. Several weeks ago there was a set of chrome RSV wheels on Ebay for around 750 bucks from ChromePros wheel exchange. Did anyone here buy them?

Ya'll know me, and how I can't pass up a good buy. I ran across this auction with a '93 Verago that looks like it's in decent shape. Problem is it doesn't run due to no key. I think it was reposed?? Getting a new key cut and battery is not a problem, and I don't know if it's a 750 or 535?? I'm thinking of using it around town. Now the nitty gritty. I'm a pretty big boy. Will I look like King Faruk sitting on a barstool?? Also what's your thinking on max bid?? http://www.westauction.com/auction/701/item/36836

I purchased 2 Wolo Bad Boys at the new Northern Tool & Equipment store in Sioux Falls on Saturday. Went to work on sunday to install them. One on my '84 and one on my son's 91 750 Nighthawk. We can get neither one to work. We wired just as the directions show to do. The relays will click and that is all. Any ideas? Thanks, Dave

I just picked-up a 1980 Honda CB 750 Custom, with only 19,000 miles. It's in great shape and it even came with original Hondaline Accessories - including a full fairing, saddlebags, and a trunk. I would like to get this bike tuned-up and in as tip-top shape as possible. Does anyone have any tips on great sites I could visit for this bike. My Venture questions and issues are all addressed here on this site. Now, I need something for this old Honda. I think that this CB 750 will will make for a pretty reliable second bike. Now, I just need to get as familiar with it as I am with my Venture. Thanks & Be Safe! Pete.

My wife wants a bike of her own. After year of seeing the world with a helmet directly in front of her she wants to see where we are going. So she went and took a MSC on her own, loved it and has her learners permit for this next year. I am thinking of a Vulcan 750, it's low and a small bike so she can flatfoot the ground. Is that too big? she was throwing around a Buell 250 at the MSC.

What do you suppose a 1985 Yamaha Maxim 750 in good condition, with 16000 plus miles on it would sell for? A coworker has one that he is selling. He's hoping to get $1000 for it. He's had it for 12 years and has taken real good care of it. Always has been garaged. What do you guys think would be a fair price? Thanks, Bill

The Garmin Nuvi 750 is on sale at tigerdirect.ca for 149.97 cdn i thought it looked like a good price for a GPS with all the features. It is a refurb, but my current unit is a refurb purchased about 30 months ago and I think it still comes with a 1 yr warranty from Garmin. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4550952&Sku=G145-0198 Brian

Goldwing by age 24. and multitude of others. First RSV at 49. Gregg:fiddle:

Dan here from Cajun Country, Welsh, LA. Rode an 07 Honda Shadow Aero 750 as a commuter 60 miles round trip every day for last year and 2 months to work. Put 14,900 during this time, had 1,200 on her when I bought her. First 2 wheeler I owned since 1972 in the Air Force. Just won the bid on an 07 Royal Star Tour Deluxe with 900 miles, was purchased new in October 2008! I plan on having it shipped from upper Keys (about 60 miles S of Miami) to Welsh LA. Is it reasonable to expect the seller to handle the title transfer, warranty transfer, and be available for the shipping company? Any other hidden agendas I need to be aware of for this project? Any suggestions on shippers? I would love to fly down and ride her back the 1,100 miles for the first ride but work schedule have too many time constraints for last minute 3 day road trip, and this is a big step from a 750 to a 1300 v4, and an additional 250+ lbs. Although I have been flying since 1970 with over 1800 hours in the air and have operated many different and complex pieces of heavy and light equipment during my 27 year as a farmer raising rice and soybeans on 750 acres ..... OK maybe I will reconsider riding back if I am able to find reasonable airline tickets this late in the game. Enough of my rambling, can anyone offer help on my shipping questions? Thanks and look forward to participating in this forum. dan

Well, for the THIRD time my 200 lb body took on the 750 lb '85 VR, and I don't have to tell you which one came out on top (literally). Just a parking lot/loose footing thing but enough to wipe out the plastic holder for the CB and CLASS. eBay is already being searched, but has anyone got an idea where I could get another one without getting a second mortgage? Thanks guys (and gals).

I was glad to find a website dedicated to Venture riders. I have owned a 750 Special and a Seca 750, and just bought a 1983 Venture Royale. The bike is in great shape and bone stock except for the forks and shocks which have been replaced with conventional units. I have only had the bike a couple of months but it seems to ride and run well. If there is anything I need to be made aware of please feel free to sound off.

I'm not that computer literate but I don't see how to post on the classifieds. My wife has a 750 virago that we're considering selling or trading to a pull behind pop-up. Any help would be appreciated. TIA, Eddie:puzzled:
