I just completed a 600 mile jaunt around the northern lower peninsula of Michigan on my 83 first gen and was pleasantly surprised by the mileage. 51.25 average on the whole 600!!! This is the best I've had since installing new diaphragms and Skydoc's needle shim kit earlier this year. Anybody else getting this kind of mileage?

I am going to go look at a pop up tomorrow? It is a 1968 Apache Falcon? it is 7'5'" in lengh 5'2"in width and 47"hieght Carries 400 max cargo I could not find the wieght of the trailer. My question is is this a good deal ad how much should I pay for it? How well would it tow behind my 06 Venture? Just found the wieght is 600 lbs? is this too heavy? The guy is asking $1500. Looking at the internet I found a old broucher that stats it was 645 plus frieght in '68. Any advice or help would be great John

Hello Everyone: We had been planning a ride back to our Daughter's home in Riverside WY. We dropped in on her on the way home from the Cody Rally. I envited a few local VR.org members Patrolman46 and Babe, Vstar1230 LoriB along with Roger and Lori H from the Venture Owners FB page along with a few others. Ended up with 9 riders on 7 bikes. Rode 600 miles over the weekend. Made more new friends. RogerII has join our group as a result of our trip. Proud to be a member here!!!

Does anyone know where/how to adjust the carb sync on a 2001 600 Bandit S ? I do not have a manual and can't find anything on-line . . .
-
On the 600 mile service how important do you think to have the dealer do it, or do it yourself, looks like going over bolts and nut and oil change and that is a breeze unless your old like me...Then becomes a challenge.. Also manual does not call for rear drive fluid to be change at 600 I think it better to drop it your thoughts.. Reason I'm asking this I might makea M&E that will put me over if I don't get to it before I leave, i'll be over no more than 200 miles.. I'm a real funny about doing it on time...

Bigbob is interested in your opinions on this trailer he just completed. What do you think? Box bought from Peavy Mart (41L"x18"wx18"H). The rest is home made. Weighs about 125 lbs empty and has travelled 600 miles really weighted down already. Bob says it pulls well and doesn't bounce..smooth ride.

With the way the year was last year I couldn't afford the 4000 mile stealer check up so I've changed the oil and filter even though it said a filter is good for 2 changes. Now is there an easy way to take the air filters out to clean them or do you have to take the front end apart ? The dealer supposedly did the carb sync at 600 miles is this really necessary at 4000 or can it be put off till better times. Is there any other thing I should really worry about hope to learn a little more this year at MD:think:

For all those interested, BMW in Greer SC is hiring 700 people at $13-$14/hr. They are saying manufacturing experience a plus. The job fair held today showed 600 folks. If you're interested go here: http://www.mau.com/pressroom/ not quite the right page, but you can take it from there. Good luck.

Tomorrow morning will be a big gut-check for me. First day of being a tobacco free Instituation. Word is convicts are going to take our place. Some idiot grabbed the spot where he will be facing about 400 to 600 convicts be theirself for a few minutes til we see how things are going to roll. Could have stayed in Control but couldn't let those young studs grab that spot. Reason this is here is this one of those time my pride or whatever it is has gotten me into a spot that could be interesting. I talk to "The Man" every day I work and have since I volunteered foir this spot. Young-uns are kind of ticked that I grabbed. Reason this is here is if you think of me from about 4:30 monday morning til about 7:30 send up a word for me. I know I didn't explain this very well but got to get in bed to be ready. Didn't know I was going to open my big mouth. Maybe I'll learn one of these days. Will let you know as soon as I get home tomorrow what happened. Only 600 of them. Wonder how many I can get before back-up gets there???
