I'm back after a summer filled with starting a new job and getting Kelley off to college at NKU (Northern Kentucky University). I have only put about 500 miles on my bike this summer and wanting to put more, but haven't had the time. Getting Kelley into college has been a headache and money filled adventure of it's own. I just never knew what it took to just fill out the financial aid application alone on top of everything else just to get her there to learn. Finally got health insurance so I am able to ride more, didn't want to take the chance of going out and something happening. Thought my girlfriend was going to leave me because we haven't logged any real miles this summer! Really like my new job and think I have finally found the place where I can do the kind of work I like. BIG commercial plumbing jobs, even though I had to cut my hair and my beard, but a much needed job nonetheless. Any news that I need to know since I'm 500 pages behind? Still don't have the time to look through all of that!! Anyway glad to be back and look forward to hearing from you soon! Mark

So call me crazy, but I've had this '06 MV for two months and I want to go for a nice long ride. My wife's niece is getting married on May 5th in Detroit Lakes, MN, so I'm trying to plan on leaving Carlsbad CA on Friday April 29th, have to be back to work on Tuesday, May 10th. Up I-15 north to somewhere in Colorado or Wyoming or Montana and east-northeast to Fargo/Detroit Lakes. Any ideas, comments, psychiatric care, or whatever is appreciated. I figure it's about 2K miles each way, planning on about 500 per day. If the weather that area is currently getting continues, it's probably not going to happen, but I'm hoping it'll be warm enough to go. We did a 315 mile each way 2 weeks ago, the Butler Mod helped alot, and we could have gone for a couple hundred more easy... what's everybody think about this idea? thanks! Brian

I sold my trike and the guy picked it up today and left around 1:00pm. At 1:45pm some drunk drove through my garage right where my trike was sitting. I am storing an 09 Trike for a friend that has 500 miles on it and it took a hit. Check out my pictures! What a day!!! No one was hurt!

Hello all, there have been a few request for football updates, so here you go. We have been practicing for 2 months now. Our official roster list 32 team members. We usually have about 16 who consistently show up for practice and another 5 or so random players who arent busy that night. This makes it tough to get things done, but we have been doing what we can. I am fairly confident that I will start at offensive center, mostly because I am the only person who hikes the ball during practice, no one else wants the job, and there are only 6 linemen sized players on the team anyways. With six guys, I am fairly certain I will play Defensive line too. (Being the only center, pray I don't get hurt.) We have our first game June 20th, just 13 days away, and we have a lot of work to do yet. Our head coach quit last week due to some personal issues he had to take care of. Our new head coach will get the job done, but now the linemen are essentially coaching themselves. We have been scouring the internet looking for drills to do during practice. We have two quarterbacks and both of them are good. The running backs and recievers are smaller than I would hope for, but I think with our 1500+ lbs of offensive line we should be ok. The defensive backs are strong, and like to hit. We could not find a field in Dubuque to play. Loras, University of Dubuque, Dubuque senior High, Hempstead, all turned us down. So we will be playing our home games in Cascade. It's a good field. I honestly cannot tell you how well we will do this year. We have some very agressive players, who want to play hard. However, we will be playing against teams with ex Bears, Packers, Vikings, etc players, as well as people who want to play for those teams. All we can do is go out, and hit as hard as we can. At the end of the game, the score will be what it is. Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Military Motorcycle If Patton had designed motorcycles, he'd have built the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Millitary ($5,545). A favorite among military enthusiasts the world over, the Bullet 500 is an eye-catching ride. And although it looks like something that rolled out of World War II, it handles just like a modern bike and has all the modern amenities, like a highly-tuned engine that has 23 BHP at 5500 RPM. Recent updates include lower emissions and better fuel economy (75 mpg). http://www.uncrate.com/men/images/2009/03/royal-enfield-military.jpg

So, my son-in-law pulls up to the house with his Mustang. Im thinking it was his 2007 Shelby 350 GT......nooooo, he just traded it in on a new Shelby 500 GT..supercharged and all. I took it for a spin and it scared the hell out of me when I nailed it. Right now its not even producing full power. The ECU wont allow the supercharger to go to full boost of 15 until it hits 500 miles. Its at 5 now and it kicks some serious butt. I nailed it and it literally tossed us back into the seats......Ill post some pics another time....I was too excited, and those who know me know I never get excited, much less get off the couch, unless its for a ride. If you have never driven one, go and check one out......Cant wait till its broken in.

I know there are a lot of racing fans on this site, so how many of you have attended the Indy 500. It's been a dream of mine for years, but something is always getting in the way. Is it as good to attend as I imagine or is it, as some have told me, better sitting in front of a widescreen in the comfort of your home. Thanks.

I thought for sure he would rat on me to you guys ,guess he was to busy riding my KZ 1000 . I didn't get the Venture but I did get a H D Ultra Classic. It is a nice ride rode it 500 plus miles over the weekend and love it. Got to get used to the difference in balance thought between it and the Police bike. Ron

I am toying with getting one or the other. I really would like the 500, but have heard about the hard drive issues on a bike. It might be a little big but other than that has a lot of features. On the other hand, the 250 is a card reader, so doesn't have the hard drive issues but a lot less gps than the 500. My question is, who has either one, and what is your opinion of yours? BTW, $ is an issure, so the Zumo is out. Thanks, Steve

This is for all the electronics experts or stereophils out there. If i get me one of those Ipods, Ppods, MP3 or whatever, how good are the FM trasmitters to have the music play through the FM radio? Just think, 500 Willie, Kris, and Joan songs in one place. Also, how close to the radio does the FM transmitter need to be to work? Thanks much
