  1. Several years ago my CB antenna snapped off my 06 RSV as I understand has happened to most RSV owners. I understand that the Yamaha antenna has 8m stud and most available antennas have 3/8" stud. I read somewhere that Firestik made a adaptor for this, model K-1A8M. I cannot find any mention of it on their website or anyone that sells it. Sierra Electronics makes an adaptor for Harley, but nothing for Yamaha. Could I buy a standard 3/8" fold over adaptor and rethread the male end to 8m x 1.25 and make this work with a Firestik Firefly antenna?
  2. NOT REALLY NOTICING MUCH CHANGE FROM STAGE 2 TO 3 WITH THE ROADKINGS I TOOK THE STEPS OF OPENING THE OUTLET END BY PUNCHING 4 HOLES INTO THE METAL SURROUNDING THE INNER BAFFLE. SIMILAR TO DRILLING THE INLET END.; USED A POINTED TAPERED TOOL AND DROVE IT IN UNTIL THE HOLE WAS ABOUT 3/8 OR SO IN DIAMETER. TOOK ALL OF 1 MINUTE PER SIDE NOW SOUNDS MUCH BETTER AT ALL SPEEDS, LIKE A GROWL BUT STILL NOT AFTERMARKET LOUD..
  3. I was putting things back together and saw this rubber boot on the ground... I've been in the left radio compartment, in and around the steering head, under and over the carbs and fuel pump and didn't see it ON something or see anything that looked like it needed it. Ok guys, where does it go... (1 1/4"L X 1"W X 3/8" high) http://www.bergall.org/temp/venture/huh.jpg
