I stopped at " Hinshaw Honda" , Auburn Wa. yesterday to buy a couple odds and ends. Lots of used bikes parked in front of the dealership. Anyway, they have an 09 RSV, Black, in good looking condx, price tag I think was either #8 or 9 K. I would estimate the bike had around 35K as the front tire was an Avon. ( if we assume the OEM front went about 20K. ) Also, they had a 91 Venture, All in one piece, with 44K on it, asking 3800.00. Anyway, for an RSV, Trunk, fairing and all the goodies, for the price if anybody is interested, lot better deal then 20K for a new one !!

Went to Americade last week, great time. Rode the new 2012 wing and I just got to have one. I especially want the ABS. Since it does not look like Yahama is interested in any thing new to replace the RSV this I guess the wing is the other choise. The price makes me kind of sick and I think the cost of maintaining will be a lot more, Am I right ? Well , I am rambling on but I think I want the 2012 and not the 2010 because of seating position, and other refinements, some comments here please? Price wise look like I could buy a 2010 for 20K and keep my RSV or give them my RSV and 20K for a 2012, My '06 RSV has 74000 miles on it and is very excellent condition, any one interested, I hate to give it to a dealer, but I would like some comments and suggestions on the 2010 vs the 2012 and any thing else any one wants to comment on.

I have an 07 Venture with 20k miles on it. Last Fall, I noiced the clutch starting to slip when I 'roll on' the throttle. I just lived with it with plans to take care of it during the Winter. Well here it is Spring, and I haven't delt with it yet. I suspect that I could go to the dealer and have it fixed under warranty, but I would probably just end up with the same problem in another 20k miles or worse yet, get a noisey whining clutch. How long can I go with it slipping like this? I would think that it should be changed ASAP. So, I am thinking about an aftermarket clutch and doing it myself. There are several threads about this, but I was unable to find a consensus as to which way to go. Are they difficult to change? - I did this as a teenager in the 70s, I'm guessing it isn't much different. Which aftermarket is the best to go with? craigr
